Happy Tuesday, my bookish friends!! I hope you all are doing well. Today's Top Ten Tuesday topic is Typographic Book Covers (Book covers with a design that is all or mostly all words. You can also choose to do books with nice typography if that’s easier!) (Submitted by Mareli @ ElzaReads). I am going to try to go with books I still need to read. Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl and you can head over there to see what our other bookish friends are up to today.
Ten Typographic Book Covers of books I still need to read:
Also, bonus, Goodreads has a list (of course they do!) called Best Typography on a Book Cover.
HELP: I need to read a New York Times Nonfiction Bestseller for a reading challenge...suggestions???

Nice list and picks of titles with typographic covers. I don’t know many of the books on your list, but they sound interesting.

Have a great week 😊
Thanks Rae.
DeleteI'm not good with Non-Fiction Cindy! But I can promise you, Debbie will be able to help you for sure.
ReplyDeleteLove your selection of covers today! Okay, I am going to go and find a copy of On the Cliffs of Foxglove Manor now. Because every time I see it, I just want to read it.
Have a wonderful Tuesday!

Mareli, you're right, Deb should have some suggestions! Yay, hopefully we will both love On the Cliffs of Foxglove Manor!
DeleteFoxglove Manor- neat cover.
ReplyDeleteLet's see... a a NYT nonfiction. I'm drawing a blank... haven't read a non fiction in solong. I did just get The taking of Jemima Boone but not sure it's on the NYT list...
Thanks Greg.
DeleteThe Nature of Small Birds is such a cute cover! I didn't even try to do this TTT, but you found some great books for it. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Lark. I had fun with it.
DeleteI'm the wrong person to ask about non fiction. Let us know if you find a good one as I need to read some NF for my challenge. I love these covers The Girl in the Painting is my favorite cover.
ReplyDeleteWendy, I will.
DeleteCool covers! I especially like the one with the bird. For a New York Times bestselling nonfiction book I recommend Can't Hurt Me, by David Goggins. I gave it five stars on Goodreads, which is rare for me with nonfiction. I read the clean version and I loved it!
ReplyDeleteMeezan, thanks for the recommendation! I will certainly look into it. I also love that you noted there was a clean version, which is what I would prefer.
DeleteDear Mr Knightley and All's Fair are particularly cool. Great list -I sure had fun with this one and have really enjoyed seeing what others found! Thanks for the visit. Terrie @ Bookshelf Journeys
ReplyDeleteThanks Terrie!
DeleteI really love the cover for Dear Mr. Knightley since it looks like handwriting.
ReplyDeleteMe too, Suzanne!
DeleteOooh! Lots of cute covers here! Great list!
ReplyDeleteHere’s my TTT!

Thank you!
DeleteYou found some beautiful typefaces. I chose books that show words only so AfterMath would probably have fitted best on my list. But that was more because I found so many with great typefaces, I had to get one topic. LOL
ReplyDeleteMy TTT this week.
Marianne, I understand. I had fun with this one :)
DeleteYAY for Katherine Reay's book! I read book one in that series by Beth and I cannot remember if I read that one by Kara or not. I have read some by her though. :) Thanks so much for visiting my website this week.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by, Rissi!
DeleteNice! I like the cover for After Math.
ReplyDeleteAs for a New York Times Nonfiction Bestseller, I would highly recommend you to read The Code Breaker, by Walter Isaacson (on the Bestseller for 2021 in the NYT list): https://wordsandpeace.com/2021/07/07/book-review-the-code-breaker/.
With very important info related to research around vaccines
Thanks Emma! I appreciate the recommendation.
