Top Ten Tuesday-Animals gone wild

Happy Tuesday, my bookish friends!! I hope you all are doing well. Today's Top Ten Tuesday topic is Titles with Animals In Them and/or Covers with Animals On Them (submitted by Rachel @ Sunny Side). I have to admit I am not one of those people who love animals in all my stories, no offense, but I can take them or leave them. So, let's see if I can come up with anything. I am going with covers with animals on them because I can't think of a single title with an animal in it. Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl and you can head over there to see what our other bookish friends are up to today.

Top Ten Covers with Animals on them:

I own all of these books, either paperback or e-copy and have not read any of them. I took a little longer on this post than usual because I didn't want to just feature dogs and horses which are what most of my books with animals on them are 😂. I hope to eventually read them all, LOL. I think I need to stop going to the library and focus on my own books, sigh.

What did you do this week? I would love for you to share in the comments. To see what other topics our bookish friends are doing this week click on the image below.

  1. Some cute titles there, Cindy. I didn't participate this week because I did a TTT with animals before.

    1. Marianne, I understand. You could have picked a different topic, that's always fun too :)

    2. I've been doing TTT for so long, I think I've done most of the topics several times. Plus a lot of different ones that I came up with myself or copied from someone else. I do it now when I feel there is something new.

    6. Well, there are several of us who held out so long. It seems to be even more fun, the longer you do it. So, good luck!

  3. But you found a book with a goat on the cover! That can't be very common!

  6. I got really stumped because I didn't focus on covers, I focused on titles. Bad decision on my part. I like your approach better.

    1. Anne, I knew if I focused on titles I would get frustrated, but after seeing some other posts today, maybe I could have pulled it off.

  8. Cute covers! I'm a big animal lover, so if there is an animal on the cover, I'm in.

  11. You found some very fun covers! I think the circus one with the elephant is my favorite...probably because I can never resist a book about a circus. ;D

  12. I've seen some people talk about how they don't like the kid in a story (like a single parent or niece/nephew, etc.) but I tend to be the one who doesn't "need" a pet or animal in a story. Still, they do add a cute addition to a cover design! Valerie's is super fun in your line up. :)

    1. Rissi, I am the same. I don't care if there is a pet, although sometimes they do create some hilarious moments. I agree, they also look good on the cover!

  15. I've not read any of them, either, but there are some great covers there. I don't like animal stories that are sad. Not. At. All! Otherwise, like you, I can take or leave an animal companion.

  17. I'm the same, I enjoy animals in stories but it is not a must. Some cute covers there.

  18. Fun list, Cindy! I loved Secrets of Sunbeams. Pansy, the Nigerian Dwarf goat that's in that book, reminded me of one of my goats. She's a troublemaker, but is so funny. :D

  19. These covers are great! I also don't love animal stories. I'd usually rather read about humans.
