Happy Tuesday, my bookish friends!! I hope you all are doing well. Today's Top Ten Tuesday topic is Titles with Animals In Them and/or Covers with Animals On Them (submitted by Rachel @ Sunny Side). I have to admit I am not one of those people who love animals in all my stories, no offense, but I can take them or leave them. So, let's see if I can come up with anything. I am going with covers with animals on them because I can't think of a single title with an animal in it. Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl and you can head over there to see what our other bookish friends are up to today.
Top Ten Covers with Animals on them:
Some cute titles there, Cindy. I didn't participate this week because I did a TTT with animals before.
ReplyDeleteMarianne, I understand. You could have picked a different topic, that's always fun too :)
DeleteI've been doing TTT for so long, I think I've done most of the topics several times. Plus a lot of different ones that I came up with myself or copied from someone else. I do it now when I feel there is something new.
DeleteMarianne, I hope to someday be at that point :)
DeleteJust wait another ten years or so ... LOL
DeleteMarianne, I hope so! I hope I am still blogging and enjoying it in 10 years!
DeleteWell, there are several of us who held out so long. It seems to be even more fun, the longer you do it. So, good luck!
DeleteSchifflebein’s Folly has such an adorable cover.

Thanks Lydia, I thought so too :)
DeleteBut you found a book with a goat on the cover! That can't be very common!
ReplyDeleteJen, I don't think so either :)
DeleteLove your post title. :) Animals in books are fun !:)
ReplyDeleteThanks Greg, I was trying to be creative, LOL!
DeleteLove your list!! Here's mine!!

Thanks Jo!
DeleteI got really stumped because I didn't focus on covers, I focused on titles. Bad decision on my part. I like your approach better.
ReplyDeleteMy TTT list of animal titles
Anne, I knew if I focused on titles I would get frustrated, but after seeing some other posts today, maybe I could have pulled it off.
DeleteYou found some great covers! Hope you'll love all of these.
ReplyDeleteThanks Lindsey!
DeleteCute covers! I'm a big animal lover, so if there is an animal on the cover, I'm in.
ReplyDeleteThanks Kami!
DeleteI love the cover of The Haunting At Bonaventure Circus, so cute!
ReplyDeleteMy TTT: https://jjbookblog.wordpress.com/2023/04/11/top-ten-tuesday-415/
Thanks Jo! I am looking forward to getting to it!
DeleteSecrets and Sunbeams! What on earth is on that cover? I hope you get to read these ones soon Cindy. They all look lovely!
ReplyDeleteHappy TTT!

Thanks Mareli!
DeleteYou found some very fun covers! I think the circus one with the elephant is my favorite...probably because I can never resist a book about a circus. ;D
ReplyDeleteThanks Lark!
DeleteI love the elephant cover.
ReplyDeleteThanks Deanna!
DeleteI've seen some people talk about how they don't like the kid in a story (like a single parent or niece/nephew, etc.) but I tend to be the one who doesn't "need" a pet or animal in a story. Still, they do add a cute addition to a cover design! Valerie's is super fun in your line up. :)
ReplyDeleteRissi, I am the same. I don't care if there is a pet, although sometimes they do create some hilarious moments. I agree, they also look good on the cover!
DeleteSo many cute covers! I have a couple of these books on my TBR. Thank you for stopping by my blog earlier.

Thanks Pam :)
DeleteHearse and Buggy is on my TBR! Have a great rest of the week! :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks Meezan!
DeleteI've not read any of them, either, but there are some great covers there. I don't like animal stories that are sad. Not. At. All! Otherwise, like you, I can take or leave an animal companion.
ReplyDeleteHere's my list:

Gypsi, neither do I! Those are awful.
DeleteThis is a great list! I love that we share one.
ReplyDeleteThanks Andi!
DeleteI'm the same, I enjoy animals in stories but it is not a must. Some cute covers there.
ReplyDeleteThanks Sarita!
DeleteFun list, Cindy! I loved Secrets of Sunbeams. Pansy, the Nigerian Dwarf goat that's in that book, reminded me of one of my goats. She's a troublemaker, but is so funny. :D
ReplyDeleteThanks Ashley! That makes me want to read it more, LOL!
DeleteThese covers are great! I also don't love animal stories. I'd usually rather read about humans.
ReplyDeleteAj, I understand completely!
