Operation Find A Guy

 MY REVIEW:

Operation Find A Guy is book three in the Roadtrip Romance series. I have read books one and three, and the series is best read in order.

The Roadtrip Romance series follows three best friends, Katie, Bree, and Skye. When I read Destination Romance, the first book in the series, I did not like Skye at all. I had wondered how the author would make her likable and was dreading her story. However, I am glad I read it.

Skye comes off as self-centered, adventure-seeking, and lazy. However, that is not how Benjamin sees her. Their first meeting is memorable and (surprisingly) something they are able to laugh about later. I appreciated the slow build of Skye and Benjamin's friendship. I also appreciated how Benjamin was able to truly see who Skye was, despite the protective walls she had built around herself.

I loved the snarky banter between Skye and Benjamin. I enjoyed the character growth that Skye experienced. This is not a light and fluffy read. There is an unexpected depth, pain, family drama, and healing. Operation Find a Guy can be read as a stand-alone novel if you do not plan to read the first two books in the series. If you do plan to read the series, start with the first one to avoid spoilers.

Thank you to JustRead Publicity Tours and the author for the opportunity to read this book. I was not required to provide a positive review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

★★★★/5

About the Book

Skye Jones has one goal for the summer—keep her father from taking away her convertible. That’s the only reason she’s agreed to work at her sister’s bridal shop in Boulder, Colorado. It will buy her some time to figure out if there’s a non-boring job out there. Why else would she have anything to do with weddings when she has no interest in marriage?

Benjamin Smith can’t quite figure out how he ended up a groomsman in two different weddings over the summer, but with his sister and a cousin both getting married, he’s spending a lot of time at Happily Ever After events. Falling for a blonde with no dreams of settling down wasn’t in his five-year plan, but the more he sees Skye, the more he wants to figure her out. But all she sees him as is a boring attorney and her complete opposite.

Romance was supposed to be for Skye’s friends. But Colorado might hold more than she knew she was looking for.

About the Author

Amy R Anguish grew up a preacher’s kid, and in spite of having lived in seven different states that are all south of the Mason Dixon line, she is not a football fan. Currently, she resides in Tennessee with her husband, daughter, and son, and usually a bossy cat or two. Amy has an English degree from Freed-Hardeman University that she intends to use to glorify God, and she wants her stories to show that while Christians face real struggles, it can still work out for good.
