My Review:

I always learn something new or thought-provoking when I pick up a book by Nicki Koziarz. I have wanted to read Your New Now: Finding Strength and Wisdom When You Feel Stuck Where You Are since it came out earlier this year.

(this book) It's about what we need to learn in the here and now. It's about finding strength, wisdom, and hope for the current space you find your soul settling into.

Your New Now: Finding Strength and Wisdom When You Feel Stuck Where You Are discusses the four transitional seasons in life. Koziarz has a quiz you can take to see which season (or seasons) you are currently in. She also lists several signs to help you identify each season. Taking the quiz before starting the book can help you to appreciate the information even more. Koziarz offers helpful suggestions on how to overcome the challenges each season presents.

Transitions in life don't have to break us, make us gain fifteen pounds of stress weight, or cause us to lose who we were before the transition hit.

Koziarz was speaking to my heart in this book. I am in several seasons of transition, and while it can feel lonely, it helps to know that others are walking through the season as well. Koziarz speaks with an authentic, conversational tone, making this an easy read.

★★★★/5

Synopsis (Goodreads):

Bestselling author and Proverbs 31 speaker Nicki Koziarz knows the vulnerable and lost feelings of transition seasons. Digging into the life of Moses, and sharing her own struggles and successes, she gives you a practical, biblical plan to discover--and thrive--right where you are, living with purpose and expectancy even when life pauses in an unfamiliar now.
