Welcome to the Blog Tour for A Guardian Till Christmas by Danielle Thorne, hosted by JustRead Publicity Tours!

Title: A Guardian Till Christmas
Author: Danielle Thorne
Publisher: Love Inspired
Release Date: October 22, 2024
Genre: Inspirational Romance

My review:

Kylee is used to being in full control, until her sister and brother-in-law unexpectedly pass away leaving her in charge of their four-year-old twins. Kylee is determined to care for them by herself despite Evan's willingness to help.
I am all about being independent, but her stubbornness was very frustrating. It made her an unlikable character.
Evan has been in the twin's lives since they were born. He is an honorary uncle and he takes it hard when Kylee comes in and shuts him out. He wants the best for the twins and he doesn't believe Kylee is it. He is still trying to come to terms with losing his best friends, now he feels like he is losing the twins as well.

Sidenote: I loved the stories that Evan read to the twins. I ended up making a Charlotte's Web reference in my conversation with my daughter 😂.

Overall, I enjoyed the story. Kylee had good character growth, making her more enduring to me. All the characters are dealing with grief, yet the story is not heavy. One thing I appreciated was while Evan and Kylee made assumptions about each other, they didn't hold onto those assumptions, they communicated well. There were times of miscommunication, but it was promptly dealt with. A Guardian Till Christmas is a sweet story that tackles loss, grief, finding yourself, and letting go of guilt, while leading us to the baby in the manger. The story starts in the fall and ends at Christmas time, making it the perfect fall read.

Thank you to JustReads Publicity and the author for the opportunity to read this book. I was not required to provide a positive review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

About the Book

She’s always in charge…

Until two little hearts take over this holiday season…

After the loss of her sister, Kylee Spokes plans to take custody of her orphaned niece and nephew and return to the big city by Christmas. Except corralling four-year-old twins is much harder than the businesswoman expects. And small-town paramedic Evan Hollister refuses to abandon his godchildren to someone who has no experience with kids—and can’t even boil water! Now these opposites must find a way to temporarily co-parent together. As grudging respect turns into something more, can they find a permanent solution…that lasts past the holidays?

  1. I hate when a female protagonist is stubbornly independent like that. But the rest of this story sounds very cute. :D
