He's so Not my Valentine

Title: He's So Not My Valentine

Series: Cataloochee Coffee Shop Romance #2

Author: Savannah Scott

Publisher: Independently Published

Genre: RomCom, Contemporary Romance

Source: Library

My Review:

He's So Not My Valentine is the stand-alone sequel to A Not So Fictional Fall. While they don't have to be read in order, I will always recommend reading them that way! The two main characters do meet in the previous book, A Not So Fictional Fall, which will broaden your understanding of their relationship.

"Be young while you can. Life keeps rolling by and one day you won't be able to bend to tie your shoe without letting out some sort of noise or another. Now's the time to grab up the fun."

He's So Not My Valentine is told from the alternating perspectives of Rene and Heather. Each chapter begins with a quote, which I loved! Many made me snicker.

My favorite parts about the story is that Rene truly sees Heather and Heather's character growth. This is a fabulous romance for Valentine's Day or any day.

Read for:

Synopsis (Amazon):

Valentineā€™s Day should be outlawed.

Here are a few fun facts about me:
1. I do not love Valentineā€™s Day.
2. I love coffee.
3. Iā€™ve never left the state of North Carolina.

Iā€™m not complaining. I grew up in the quaint town of Harvest Hollow, met my charming husband, and had our amazing son here ā€¦ That was before my ā€œcharmingā€ ex-husband decided he needed to expand his horizons.

Since that time, Iā€™ve been raising Nate alone, with the support of my family, and running Cataloochee Coffee like itā€™s my own business.

Iā€™m not looking for romance--especially not at this time of year when everyone couples up in the name of a dead saint who happens to be the patron of lovers, epileptics and beekeepers.

When Rene Dubois comes from France to visit my sister and her husband, I obviously keep my distance. I donā€™t need his kisses to my cheeks, his flirty banter, or the way his bright green eyes make me feel flutters in my belly and tingles across my skin. I donā€™t do flutters or tingles.

My sister keeps assuring me Rene is amazing and harmless. But sheā€™s the dreamer in the family. Rene may be gorgeous, have a buttery French accent, and a charismatic personality. All I know is Heā€™s so not my Valentine.

He's So Not My Valentine is the stand-alone sequel to A Not So Fictional Fall. This closed-door romcom is set in the fictional town of Harvest Hollow (made popular in the Sweater Weather series). Be warned: you will laugh, swoon, and probably fall for a Frenchman.

  1. Well this sounds super fun! I love when authors put quotes at the top of each chapter, too. And I've enjoyed several of Savannah Scott's romances. I look forward to reading this one ,too. :D

    1. Lark, it was good. I almost felt like it had been too long since I had read A Not So Fictional Fall.
