Stacking the Shelves #194 Sunday Post #191 Sunday Salon #185

Hey my bookish friends!!  How are you all doing? It was another long week around here. We had a showing on Saturday, but on Sunday our house went fully off market, and by Wednesday all the hurdles had been tackled, so our house is officially sold with the closing date 12/16, and we have until 1/4/26 to leave our house. We have looked at 8 houses this week, and will look at several more today. Between all that I got a haircut, spent 2 hours in the gym, started packing, and worked three days. I am wiped out. I will not be quite as active on here over the next month as we pack up our house and try to find a new one. What are your plans for the weekend? Also, happy Thanksgiving week!

Stacking The Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your  shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks! And audiobooks. The Stacking the Shelves meme is hosted at Reading Reality.

Other updates:

I finished 3 books this week and DNF'd 1. One of them was a 2-star read, so it will not be on my blog. I had checked out 5 more nonfiction books, hoping for a chance to get to read them this month. The reality is that isn't going to happen, so I went through them, and the ones I want to read I left on my TBR, and the ones that I didn't have interest in, came off the TBR (yay!).

My other blog if you are interested.

What you might have missed on the blog this week:

Book Review: Falling for Autumn (again) by Jen Atkinson

NIV Beautiful Word Coloring Bible

Book Review: The Gratitude Guarantee by Jordon Millsaps

Book Review: Faking Christmas by Cindy Steel

I am also linking up with the Sunday Post. The Sunday Post is a blog news meme hosted at Caffeinated Reviewer. I will also be joining Deb at Readerbuzz for the Sunday Salon.

What books have you added to your physical or virtual bookshelves? I would love to hear from you. Click on the icons below to join in on the fun. Have a great weekend!

  3. Good luck with the house hunting! We're engaged in that, right now, but not very seriously. We know we want to move closer to our great-niblings, but we don't seem to have a good idea of what we want in a house. So, it's taking us a while. I hope you find just what you want and quickly!

  4. Congratulations on selling your house! I'm so happy for you! Now praying you will find your next home. It's understandable that we may not see as much of you for a bit. I really liked the NIV Beautiful Word Coloring Bible as it's fabulous for us "art-challenged" readers!

  9. Congratulations on selling your house!!! I hope your move goes smoothly!
I vastly overestimated the amount of books I could read this month, so I have three library books that I haven't even touched yet sitting on my shelf while I try to finish up the two (plus one owned reread) that I'm currently working on. Hopefully I'll be able to get to them soon!

  10. Happy day! I'm so glad your house is officially sold. One hurdle overcome. Now I hope you have great luck finding a new house and getting packed.

And, most of all, I hope you get a little time to read and enjoy the holidays.

  18. Good luck with house hunting, Cindy! Not a fun chore, but it's great to hear your house is under contract. I loved Betty White's book, and Debbie Macomber is always a good read. Hope you enjoy them as you are preparing for your move. Happy Thanksgiving!
