TTT-Quotes!

Happy Tuesday my bookish friends!! I hope you all are doing well. Today's Top Ten Tuesday topic isQuotes From/About Books (Share book quotes you love, quotes about being a reader, etc.) Sometimes I actually remember to mark quotes in books that make me laugh or speak to me, especially in nonfiction. Let's see what I can come up with for today's topic. Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl and you can head over there to see what our other bookish friends are up to today.

Top Ten Tuesday- Quotes!

I'm afraid we are missing the image of God with His arms around us at the beach bonfire, slapping His knee in laughter when we say something humorous. Do we see Him crying tears of joy when He watches the look on our faces as we open one of His gifts? Do we worship a God who is like this? - What If It's Wonderful by Nicole Zasowski

We are a distracted and divided people, and God is calling us to rediscover the unity, devotion, and joy found only in His presence. -Prayers of Rest: Daily Prompts to Slow Down and Hear God's Voice by Asheritah Ciuciu

"Clearly I've spent years allowing external pressures, never-ending motion, to keep me from doing the inner work necessary for a life of freedom and wholeness. I've missed too many off-ramps. Truth is, I've pursued distraction on purpose." - The Color of Home by Kit Tosello

"Don't read this book. It's embarrassing. And private." -Loyally, Luke by Pepper Basham

When people are thrown into an abyss and together find their way out of it, they are not the same people. They are bound to one another ever after, linked together at the core of who they are because it was together that they escaped a terrible fate. -The Nature of Fragile Things by Susan Messiner

You're the living embodiment of a fictional bad boy, ready to steal hearts and make ovaries explode.-The Bluff by Emma St. Clair

You won't see danger coming...until it's too late.-Perilous Tides by Elizabeth Goddard

"Education is important." Reese nodded. "But I reckon a person can't get by without some food for the heart."-A Twist of Faith by Pepper Basham

Libraries aren't famous for their penal codes, but some literary offenses deserve due punishments.-An Overdue Match by Sarah Monzon

"The way you see the world isn't the only way to see it."-Pixels and Paint by Kristi Ann Hunter

As a side note, when I was going through my reviews for quotes, I realized I should do more quotes to make things like this easier, LOL! It's also a great way to put me back in the story, and might help me to remember the books a little better when I look back.

What topic did you go with this week? I would love for you to share in the comments. To see what other topics our bookish friends are doing this week click on the image below.

  5. Unless I 'like' a quote posted on Goodreads, I cannot remember favorite quotes for books, so when I finally put this topic together for my list, I'll likely have to feature quote that are more general like famous quotes about books or something. ;) Thanks so much for visiting my list today!

    1. Rissi, I can understand that. I do like that people have common place books for quotes, but I can't even remember to start one, much less update it, sigh, LOL!
