My Review:

I Surrender All is a call to action. A reminder that when we call ourselves "Christian," we are called to surrender everything to Jesus.

I Surrender All. The whole house and everything in it. Because all is where the life is. All is where the meaning is. All is what He requires, and all is what He deserves.

This is one of those books that I just finished, but feel like I need to read again. I know, especially with the way I am feeling, that I am not surrendering all. If I were, there would be more peace, more joy.

I've been through many seasons of life where, looking back on them now, I can see I viewed the Lord wrongly. I saw Him as small, fragile, distant, limited.

I think we can all relate. That is how I found the book, relatable. I have always loved Priscilla Shirer's teachings, whether from a podium or in book form. Her books read like you are listening to her teach, and I love that. 

We can say we believe all the things the Scriptures say about Him, but if we really want to know how deep our belief in Him goes, our level of surrender will reveal the truth.

If you, like me, have trouble surrendering all the things, I highly recommend this book. I am not saying Shirer has all the answers; none of us do, but she does make excellent points, all the while pointing us toward the one that does have all the answers.
