My Review:
Here is what you need to know. This is a standalone novel. However, if you have plans to read The Duke's Bargain, Megan Walker's newest release, you should first read Miss Newbury's List, then Lakeshire Park, and finally, The Duke's Bargain. The Duke from Miss Newbury's List and Georgiana from this book are the main characters in The Duke's Bargain.
Lakeshire Park is a fun, quick read. I really enjoyed getting to know Amelia and Clara, Peter, and the rest of the gang. Amelia and Peter have an interesting first meeting (hilarious), both thinking they will never see this person again. However, Amelia is mortified to realize that Peter has been invited to the same house party that she is at.
There are many unique threads in this story. The character growth is great, and the banter and chemistry between the characters are top-notch. Thankfully, the story doesn't quite end here, as I have The Duke's Bargain and can dive more fully into Georgiana's story (which Amelia is a part of).
This is only the second book I have read by Megan, but I am happily devouring her backlist! I suggest you do the same, LOL!

Brighton, England 1820
Amelia Moore wants only one thing—to secure the future happiness of her younger sister, Clara. With their stepfather’s looming death, the two sisters will soon be on their own—without family, a home, or a penny to their names. When an invitation arrives to join a house party at Lakeshire Park, Amelia grasps at the chance. If she can encourage a match between Clara and their host, Sir Ronald, then at least her sister will be taken care of.Little does she know that another guest, the arrogant and overconfident Mr. Peter Wood, is after the same goal for his own sister. Amelia and Peter begin a rivalry that Amelia has no choice but to win. But competing against Peter—and eventually playing by his rules—makes Amelia vulnerable to losing the only thing she has left to claim: her heart.
