Oh, Say Can You See

Title: Oh, Say Can You See

Series: Stars, Stripes, and Hockey Nights

Author: J. P. Sterling

Narrators: Kasey Miracle and Kyle Snyder

Source: Hoopla

My Review:

Oh, Say Can You See is the first book I have read by J.P. Sterling. It is also the first in the Stars, Stripes, and Hockey Nights series. I enjoyed the audio narration by Kasey Miracle and Kyle Snyder.

I loved the concept of the story, and I enjoyed the story. I loved the tropes that were represented, and I appreciated that the story didn't quite go in the direction I thought it would. I love the series' uniqueness and the unique aspects of this story, though I am not going to tell you what they are.

The thing that made this middle-of-the-road for me is the political aspect, which is never my cup of tea, and the fact that the story was more hockey-focused than I wanted it to be. I enjoy hockey, and it is exciting to watch in person, but I just felt there was too much description of it for the story. I enjoyed Lottie's character growth and her bond with her goats.

Overall, I would recommend the story, especially if you don't mind an overbearing political mother (again, a unique aspect as it is typically the dad), and that the story takes a bit to get to the romance.

★★★/5
