My Review:

I didn't realize it, but Hope for Tomorrow is the second book in the Hope Ranch series. I have not read the first book and feel like I should have before reading this one. Despite owning several of Elizabeth Maddrey's books on Kindle (apparently including the first in this series), this is the first book I have read by her.

With this being a shorter novel (200 pages), the love story progressed quickly, and I didn't find it believable, nor did I think the two main characters had much romantic chemistry.

There were several unexpected plot points, and that kept me invested in the book.

I had mixed feelings about Skye. I liked her alright, but then found her pretty immature in conflict. The reasons make sense, but it was still frustrating. I really liked Morgan; he was very patient and good with Skye.

There are several overarching thread lines, so this series should be read in order.
