My Review:

While this book looks like a light and fluffy escapism read, it is anything but. The story deals with abandonment issues, infertility, pregnancy complications, loss, anxiety, and more.

Regardless, it is a good story. Duke is a single dad trying to deal with his preschool daughter, Lottie, who always seems to be throwing fits. He doesn't realize that she has separation anxiety disorder. 

Millie longs to be a mother, but with her infertility issues, that doesn't seem to be in the cards. She met Lottie and bonded with her when Duke was on a trip. Duke and Millie's initial meeting is funny. Millie's career choices have made it easy for her to see what Lottie is dealing with and help her. But who will help Millie when her life implodes? 

I enjoyed this story more than the first one in the series. I liked Millie and Duke, and their playful banter. This story is real and heart-wrenching at times, but it has the expected happily ever after.

Baby Llama Drama is a sweet and swoony, closed-door romcom with sizzling chemistry, delightful banter, and an adorable llama. It features growth, grown-ups having real conversations, dry shampoo, an unhealthy amount of Diet Coke, and, of course, a happily ever after.

This book deals with themes of loss, abandonment, anxiety, imperfect parenting, pregnancy complications, and chronic illness.
