Courageous Kindness

Title: Courageous Kindness: Live the Simple Difference Right Where You Are

Series: Courageous Bible Studies #4

Author: (in)courage, Becky Keife

Publisher: (in)courage Revell

Genre: Christian Nonfiction, Bible Study

My Review:

This is my fourth Bible Study by the (in)courage team and it will not be my last. I love the way they design and organize these studies. I appreciate the way they are designed for personal growth.

I love how the study has you digging deeper into the Bible and always pointing you toward Jesus. You can do the studies alone, or you can do it with a group. Either way, I highly recommend these studies.

Let the reality of God's unconditional, no-limits, right-where-you-are love sink in deep. It's what changes everything.

The Courageous Kindness Bible Study is a 6-week study, five days a week. Each week is a different aspect of living a life of kindness. Each day might take about 15 minutes, depending on how fast/slow you read, and how much you put into it. Each day starts with a story that goes along with that week's theme, followed by some questions that are great for self-reflection, looking up verses that pertain to that topic, and ends with a daily prayer. Week one encourages you to start where you are and week two encourages you to use what you have.

Kindness is baked into God's name. It's who He is.

This study is empowering and teaches us that we can live a life of  kindness. We do not need special tools, lots of money, or time. We just need a willing spirit to allow Jesus to use us right where we are with the resources we have. There is so much truth and wisdom tucked into the pages that you want to take your time and savor it. I highly recommend this study!!

Jesus doesn't mess around when it comes to telling us how we're supposed to treat people-all people, all the time.

I don't believe it is a coincidence that this book came out during a time where we are so divisive. I believe God is reminding us that we need to be responding in kindness. We can't control other people, but we can choose our response, and it should be kindness. We don't know what others are going through. We know what we are going through and that should be enough in and of itself to remind us that everyone needs kindness.

Thank you to the (in)courage team and Revell for the opportunity to read this book. I was not required to provide a positive review. All thoughts and opinions are entirely my own.

★★★★★/5
