An Amish Baby for Christmas

My Review:

While An Amish Baby for Christmas is the eighth book in the Indiana Amish Brides series, it can easily be read as a stand-alone novel. I have not read any of the other books in the series and I do not feel like I missed anything.

While I am not a young widow like Abigail, I could 100% relate to being stubborn and not accepting help when it is offered. Abigail had it drilled into her that she should be able to handle her messes on her own. My father scolded me quite harshly when I asked my Kindergarten teacher for something for my younger sister and it is extremely hard to get past that. I still have trouble asking for help and no matter how much people offer to help, it's hard to accept. However, Abigail had to learn to lean on others for help, not only for her health but the health of her baby.

Thomas is a great hero. He is super sweet, even though he is not really trying to be, and so awkwardly cute about Abigail's pregnancy and all things baby. You want him and Abigail to be together because you can see how much they will learn from each other, and how good they will be together. Plus, Abigail just needs someone who will love her for who she is.

I enjoyed this book. There are moments of humor, great characters, the story moves at a good pace, and it's just a sweet story of healing, faith, and forgiveness. This is one you will want to grab a cozy spot, your favorite drink, and curl up and read in one sitting.

Thank you to Net Galley and the publisher for the opportunity to read this book. I was not required to provide a positive review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

★★★★/5
