Stacking the Shelves #20, Sunday Post #17, Sunday Salon #12

Hey bookish friends! How are things going for you? I had a pretty good reading week. In the other part of my life it was a stressful week. Not much going on here, probably another weekend of mostly reading and relaxing 😀

Stacking The Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks! And audiobooks. The Stacking the Shelves meme is hosted at Reading Reality.

NetGalley:

Library:

None.

Kindle Freebies:

I am intentionally trying NOT to add to my shelves, focusing on catching up on ARC's and reading my OWN books (with the exception of my book club). I added 4 books to my Goodreads shelf this week.

I finished 5 books this week. I still need to write/share the reviews for 2 of them.

I also did a monthly wrap-up which you can read if you are interested here.

I am also linking up with the Sunday Post. The Sunday Post is a blog news meme hosted at Caffeinated Reviewer. I will also be joining Deb at Readerbuzz for the Sunday Salon.

What books have you added to your physical or virtual bookshelves? I would love to hear from you. Click on the icons below to join in on the fun. Have a great weekend!

  2. These both look good. I too am trying to not add as many books to my shelves. I was doing better but now there is some new temptations. Thanks for sharing.

    1. LOL, I totally understand that! There are SO many books coming out in the next few months that I want to read, but I keep reminding myself they will be there later too!!

  5. I've had to really restrict myself from NetGalley for a while. You have a couple of great books here. I was debating on requesting the Denise Hunter book. I'm sure I"m going to regret not getting it. Have a great weekend.

    1. Wendy, it's not too late, LOL. It doesn't publish until September, and maybe your library will have it later? I have been restricting myself on Net Galley since the beginning of the year...I think I've only requested like 25 books so far this year (whereas last year was over 100).

  6. Participating in Stacking the shelves is making me realize just how many books I add to my shelves. No wonder I feel like I'm falling further and further behind.

  7. Harvest Moon looks like a lovely book for summer. Cake That! sounds intriguing, too.

I have purposefully cut back on the numbers of books I buy. There are so many wonderful old books that I want to focus on reading before I run out of time.

  8. Harvest Moon looks like a fun book for Spring reading! Hope your stresses are reduced this week ahead. I went on a NG spree again yesterday-- I know, I shouldn't have even logged in. So the next few months will have more than enough reading material for me.

    1. LOL, Mia, I understand. I have only logged in for specific titles lately. I know if I get on there and start looking I will go crazy. I look forward to seeing what you get accepted for over the next few months.

  10. Hi Cindy! I like the cover for Cake That and the wordplay is also quite funny.

I still need to sort my reading schedule for May, will hopefully get to it tomorrow and then see how much room there is for new books. LOL!!

Have a good week and happy reading!

  11. I hope you have a less stressful week this week!

I'm trying to limit the "books in" and focus on books and ARCs I already have, too, with mixed success. I did well at limiting my Kindle purchases this week... but the Chirp and Audible sales were too tempting. And I also received two review books. But I'm looking forward to reading both, so no complaints here!

    1. Lark, I try not to complain, especially since I am the one requesting all the books, LOL. But, I am feeling the pressure to read more of my own books and maybe clean out my shelves a little bit.

  12. Wow that's awesome you read 5 books this week! It's a juggling act between ARCs and library books and books I own. Books I own get the short shrift because I can read them "any time" without a due date.

    1. Anne, I know, which is my problem, LOL. I have close to 200 in my house that I have not read...sigh. I am going to get that number down over the next few months.
