My Review:
If you want a fast-paced, quick read that will have you on the edge of your seat, look no further. I have read several of Parks' books, and they have all been five stars. I am happy to say that this one will join that club as well.
I enjoy mystery/suspense novels. Unfortunately, some of them have the events so close together you find them completely unbelievable. Not so with Fragments of Fear. This one is eerily realistic.
There is quite a bit going on in this book, but it is impossible to sort out who all the bad guys are. Tavish's strained relationship with her mother doesn't help anything. There are quite a few plot twists along the way to keep us guessing. I couldn't put the book down and was annoyed when I had to, LOL. I wasn't quite ready for the story to end, and the romance at the end seemed a bit rushed.
There is so much I could say about this book, but I do not want to give any spoilers. I enjoyed this one, and if you like fast-paced suspense novels, you will enjoy it too. If you have not read anything by Carrie Stuart Parks I highly recommend you remedy that immediately!

New Mexico
Synopsis (from Goodreads):
Stolen art. A New Mexico archaeological dig. An abandoned dog. And a secret that’s worth killing for.
Evelyn
McTavish’s world came crashing down with the suicide of her fiancĂ©. As
she struggles to put her life back together and make a living from her
art, she receives a call that her dog is about to be destroyed at the
pound. Except she doesn’t own a dog. The shelter is adamant that the
microchip embedded in the canine with her name and address makes it
hers.
Evelyn recognizes the dog as one owned by archaeologist
John Coyote because she was commissioned to draw the two of them. The
simple solution is to return the dog to his owner—but she arrives only
to discover John’s murdered body.
As Evelyn herself becomes a
target, she crosses paths with undercover FBI agent Sawyer Price. The
more he gets to know her, the more personally invested he becomes in
keeping her safe. Together, they’re desperate to find the links between
so many disparate pieces.
And the clock is ticking.
I love the cover. Regine
