Happy Tuesday, my bookish friends!! I hope you all are doing well. Today's Top Ten Tuesday topic is Thanksgiving/Thankful Freebie. I am going to share a few books I hope to read this week/next week (I have a few ARCs to finish first) that mention Thanks or Thanksgiving. Then I am going to list a few things I am thankful for. Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl and you can head over there to see what our other bookish friends are up to today.
Top Ten Tuesday: Thanksgiving books and expressions of Gratitude

If you read my Sunday Post, you know I said I had a hard week last week, I am going to list a few reasons why along with my gratitude, plus a few other things I am thankful for.
- A family member had to have a lung biopsy on Wednesday, we were fearful her cancer had come back. I am still praising God the biopsy came back negative for cancer.
- My son got in his first car accident-he was very shaken up but otherwise he nor the other person involved were hurt. Damages to his car are minor, hers was major. My son is technically at fault, but cars are replaceable, people are not. So thankful for what he learned through this experience, thankful for polite people and officers, it all could have been so much worse.
- My daughter was having electrical malfunctions with her van -literally minutes before my son got in his accident. I am thankful I didn't know about it until later, I am thankful she got to where she was going and back home safely. I am thankful that the semi-truck that almost creamed her didn't.
- I was sick all last week, but I am thankful it was that week and not the one before. I am also thankful it was minor.
- I got some test results back last week-they were mostly good and very informative. I am glad they didn't show anything major.
- Moving on from last week (I could go on, but that's enough), I am super thankful for this blogging community. I am thankful for those who take the time to comment, encourage, or just visit.
- I am thankful that I will never run out of options for good books to read, I add books from you all every week, LOL.
- I am thankful for an excellent library system that has a great variety of books, which saves me $$!

DeleteYou did have quite the week last week. I'm so glad your son was not hurt in his accident, and that things worked out for your daughter and your family member. And I love how you found positive things in each hard incident to be grateful for. That's what I've been trying to do this year, but it's hard sometimes. I'm grateful for this post, and for our blogging friendship! And I wish you and your family a wonderful Thanksgiving this week. :D
ReplyDeleteLark, yes, it is hard to find the good with the difficult, but it we dwell on all those negatives we might end up bitter. I can feel it trying to creep in at times, but God is good I choose to dwell on the positives. I am thankful for our blogging friendship as well, I appreciate you!
