Stacking the Shelves #166, Sunday Post #163, Sunday Salon #157

Hey my bookish friends! How was your week? It was another long week, which is going to be the theme for this month. We decided this week to go ahead and list our house memorial day weekend, so we will be busy with decluttering, some packing, and prepping the house. I have been cleaning things out since January, so it won't be as much as it could have been 😉. You might also notice I am slower to respond to comments, and visit other blogs, things have just been crazy busy, but I will get there eventually!

Stacking The Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks! And audiobooks. The Stacking the Shelves meme is hosted at Reading Reality.

Other updates:

I finished 3 books this week. I am caught up on reviews for now I did several updates on my family blog this week. I also cleared out 100 books on Tuesday!!! Mostly nonfiction, but I couldn't believe it was that many! Pictures are here. I still need to finish going through my shelves to see if there is anything else I am either never going to read, or reread, and I hope to do some of that this weekend.

What you might have missed on the blog this week:

Book Review: The Open Bible NKJV

Book Review: The Run Option by Annah Conwell

Book Review: Your New Life with Adult Children by Gary Chapman

Top Ten Tuesday-Which "road" will you read (GO VOTE FOR WHICH ONE I SHOULD READ FIRST)

Book Review: Beneath the Surface by Lynn H. Blackburn

Book Review: In Too Deep by Lynn H. Blackburn

April Reading Wrap Up 2025

I am also linking up with the Sunday Post. The Sunday Post is a blog news meme hosted at Caffeinated Reviewer. I will also be joining Deb at Readerbuzz for the Sunday Salon.

What books have you added to your physical or virtual bookshelves? I would love to hear from you. Click on the icons below to join in on the fun. Have a great weekend!

  8. Wow! Clearing out 100 books is a ton of work and will power! Moving is a good motivator. Good for you! Where do you take them? I usually take them to Coas, our local used bookstore for credit or the Friends of the Library for resale.
So impressed by your purge! Take good care!

    1. Patricia, normally I put my books in Little Free Libraries, or take them to the library to resale, but this time my husband dropped them at a local thrift store.

  10. My least favorite part of moving is the packing. I hate it. Good luck with the moving preparations. I hope you get a good deal on your house! And a reading poll! What fun! I voted in your Tuesday poll. Whichever book wins, I hope you enjoy it! Have a great week, Cindy!

  11. I once moved three times in 18 months. Not recommended. But the final move has lasted for 26 years so far. Hope everything goes well in preparing to list.
