Stacking The Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks! And audiobooks. The Stacking the Shelves meme is hosted at Reading Reality.

I finished two books this week, much lower than normal, but with working three days, and this week just being busier than normal, I didn't have a lot of time.
What you might have missed on the blog this week:
Book Review: Enchanting the Heiress by Kristi Ann Hunter
Top Ten Tuesday: Chunkster Books
Book Review: Johnny Tremain by Esther Forbes
Book Review: The Tangled Tale of the Woolgathering Castoffs by Sharon J. Mondragón
I am also linking up with the Sunday Post. The Sunday Post is a blog news meme hosted at Caffeinated Reviewer. I will also be joining Deb at Readerbuzz for the Sunday Salon.
We took a long walk on Saturday, too, but our walk was at a nature preserve. I'd love to visit that national park!
ReplyDeleteI don't tend to read as many books during weeks when I'm traveling. I mostly read at night and on weekends before I retired.
Deb, I also read before bed and on weekends. But, usually I can sneak in some reading during the day, and that has not been as often as it had been. You would LOVE the National Park, it was amazing, and there is SO much to explore.
DeleteI hope the walk this week proves more energizing.
ReplyDeleteThanks Joy!
DeleteHiking is the good kinda tired.
ReplyDeleteJinjer, for sure!
DeleteOh no! I hope you aren’t overdoing it Cindy. Have a great visit with your daughter.
ReplyDeleteJodie, hard to tell for sure, thank you!
DeleteHa! “Chunkster” books - I love it! I hope you get a chance to rest up. Enjoy the time with your daughter.
ReplyDeleteThanks Olivia!
DeleteThanks for the reminder! I definitely need to go accept/reject some Netgalley offers... Hope this week is more relaxing/refreshing for you!
ReplyDeleteThanks Becki!
DeleteHope you managed some restful time this weekend! That exhausted feeling sucks so much.
ReplyDeleteThanks Nicky, I agree!
DeleteHope you have a great week!
ReplyDeleteThanks Bree!
DeleteHope you enjoy your weekend!
ReplyDeleteThanks Lark!
DeleteIt does sound like you were very active. I hope you got some rest this weekend!
ReplyDeleteThanks Patricia!
DeleteI hope you have a nice weekend. I try not to do much of anything on Sundays because I'm on my feet non stop during the work week.
ReplyDeleteVictoria, I understand that!
DeleteWe love to visit National Parks and are always dreaming up which one's we will visit next. Glad to see the photos of your most recent visit to a National Park. Was the water level lower than usual?
ReplyDeleteAnne, I have no idea what it's normal level would be. But, the pictures are mainly just the waterfall runoff, so I don't think it gets much more than that.
DeleteThat hike looks beautiful! I picked up a few books from the library this past week and managed to finish one of them and start on another! Reading is going well this month!
ReplyDeleteKaris, yay! Glad to hear it!
DeleteLooks like a great hike! I like the looks of your books as well. They're pretty much what I'm looking for in a book club. Lol. :)
ReplyDeleteMeezan, LOL, my book club ladies won't read these!
DeleteYour hike looks fun. Hope you have a great week!
ReplyDeleteThanks Yvonne!
DeleteWorking definitely gets in the way of reading!
ReplyDeleteHave a great week!
Marg, for sure!
DeleteThat's a very long week and a very long but nice hike!
ReplyDeleteI just finished The Unlikely Yarn of the Dragon Lady and have the other book on my list for this winter. Hope you have a great week.
Thanks Lisa!
DeleteSounds like you had a nice week, Cindy, even if it was tiring. Looking forward to viewing your photos. Cute books from the library. Hope you enjoy your week!

Thanks Cheryl!
DeleteThe River Hollow books look so cute, and I am always looking for clean sort-of romance books for Eleanor because that's her interest right now. There are so many contemporary adult romances she is drawn to because the covers are cute, but they are not clean reads for her. There are even some YA she's begging for that are not appropriate yet. She's 12 and mature for her age, but clean is a must - do you think that series would be okay for her?
ReplyDeleteSarah, yes, there should not be any questionable content. You know I try to only read clean books! If they have any content in them, I mark my reviews with such.
DeleteYes, that's why I trust your choices in that genre so much! I just know sometimes something can kind of sneak in and not that it's overly graphic or anything, but still suggests more than I would want my twelve-year old to read at the moment. Thank you! I'm going to see if she wants to try this series!
DeleteSarah, that age is SO hard! Has she read The Penderwick series by Jeanne Birdsall?
DeleteI relate so much to being exhausted after a physical thing! I ran 8km a couple of weeks ago now and I remember being so proud of myself and thinking that I leveled up and wanting to do more, but I was so exhausted the rest of the week! 😂
ReplyDeleteHaze, good gravy, if I am running, someone is chasing me, LOL! But I really admire all of those, like you, who do/can run and enjoy it.
