Top Ten Tuesday-Chunkster Books

Happy Tuesday my bookish friends!! I hope you all are doing well. Today's Top Ten Tuesday topic isBooks with a High Page Count (Share those doorstop books!) I think "high" page count is subjective, so I am going to go with 400+ pages as those are books that count toward the "Big Book Challenge" and the limit of what some of my book club members will read for our meetings. So, let's see what I come up with today, I know I don't read as many chunkster books as I used to. I did not include anthologies or Bibles in my list. Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl and you can head over there to see what our other bookish friends are up to today.

Top Ten Tuesday-Chunkster books I have read and enjoyed

North and South by Elizabeth Gaskell 521 pages 3-star read-not sure I should say I "enjoyed" this one or not.
Bridge to Haven by Francine Rivers 480 pages 4 star-read
Tiffany Girl by Deeanne Gist 512 pages 4-star read
The Bride of Ivy Green by Julie Klassen 448 pages 4-star read
The Masterpiece by Francine Rivers 512 pages 4-star read
Things I Never Told You by Beth K. Vogt 432 pages 5-star read
The Great Alone by Kristin Hannah 576 pages 5-star read
Thirty Days Hath by Chautona Havig 488 pages 4-star read
The Buy-in by Emma St. Clair 436 pages 5-star read
Dragonfly Ashes by C. C. Warrens 444 pages, 5-star read

I have read other books, like Gone with the Wind that has 1,037 pages, but it's been so long, I don't know if I would enjoy it now. I also have anthologies, craft books, and others that are higher than the ones I shared. I did not link to reviews because some of these I read before I was writing reviews, and they only have my rating.

Have you read any of these? I would love for you to share in the comments. To see what other topics our bookish friends are doing this week click on the image below.

  1. I absolutely love big books, so this was a nice challenge. I have only read North and South from your list. As you probably know in the meantime, I also love classics. A lot.

  13. I read some Deanne Gist books once upon a time and still think I own some, so I should have tried to find those! Oh, well! Maybe next time. :) Glad you enjoyed some of these even with the length. Thanks for visiting my list today!

  14. I'm not a fan of big books so I haven't read any of these. They do look like good reads, though.
