Stacking The Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks! And audiobooks. The Stacking the Shelves meme is hosted at Reading Reality.

Other updates:
I finished 4 books this week. I still need to do one of the reviews, it will be up tomorrow. I took time to go through the books on my shelves and unhauled 54 books. They were ones I knew I would never read again, or no longer had interest in. I also reserved 24 books from the library (they will trickle in). I am participating in two Christmas book exchanges/Secret Santa things and am pretty excited about it. I have my person for one and have already bought her things, but I haven't received the info on the second one yet. Have you ever done one of these? Did you enjoy it?
My other blog if you are interested.

What you might have missed on the blog this week:
Nonfiction November-Choosing Nonfiction
Book Review: Wishing for Mistletoe by Robin Lee Hatcher
Top Ten Tuesday: Not my typical books
Book Review: State of Lies by Siri Mitchell
Book Review: A Place of Quiet Rest by Nancy DeMoss Wolgemoth
Book Review: Christmas Baggage By Deborah M. Hathaway
I am also linking up with the Sunday Post. The Sunday Post is a blog news meme hosted at Caffeinated Reviewer. I will also be joining Deb at Readerbuzz for the Sunday Salon.

I admire anyone who can purge books from their shelves. I don’t have that discipline, and I get attached to the books.
ReplyDeleteMae, we have moved SO many times, overseas and back, and will be moving again. If I kept every book I'd have well over 10,000, which is impossible to move, LOL! We do have a ton of books, but I try to only keep those I will enjoy again.
DeleteFingers crossed about your house! And we've had warm weather so far this fall, though they're promising colder temps and maybe even snow next week. Which would be good for all our ski resorts. Enjoy your weekend! :D
ReplyDeleteThanks Lark!
DeleteThe illustrator looks like the same person that did Diego, Dora's cousin (friend?). #StackingtheShelves
ReplyDeleteLydia, you were right, her cousin, but I don't know if it's the same illustrator or not.
DeleteIt is funny to see the leaves on top of the snow. The last 20% of our leaves need to come down yet. We don’t get a lot of snow here thankfully.
ReplyDeleteJodie, I thought it was as well!
DeleteI'm enjoying your snow pictures. If we had any flurries, I missed them. Today, our high was near 80, but that won't last.
ReplyDeleteJoy, today we are 42 and windy!
DeleteWe had a couple of days of cool weather, but now temps are back up into the 80s. Sigh. I don't want snow, but a little cold would be nice.
ReplyDeleteI hope the other people's home sells and everything can go through for everyone involved.
Thanks Deb. I enjoy all four seasons and like living in places that have them.
DeleteWow, snow already! My cousins and sisters and I are doing a Secret Santa this year; since we keep adding partners/spouses to the mix, there's quite a few of us by now and it's hard to buy presents for everyone! You're quite brave putting 24 books on hold at once–I feel like whenever I put a bunch of books on hold, they all come in at the same time and then I'm overwhelmed!
ReplyDeleteKaris, I picked up 7 of them yesterday, we'll see if they all get read or not. One is a super short novella, and others are nonfiction, it's a mix for sure.
DeleteKeeping my fingers crossed that your house sells. It will give me hope for mine. Ha! Your snow pics are lovely!
ReplyDeleteThanks Olivia!
DeleteWe got snow this week too but not that much! It was still a good covering. I hope you get some news soon on your house sale.
ReplyDeleteThanks Lisa!
DeleteThat is interesting to see leaves on top of the snow! No snow here in the UK, we don't get it very often or very much any more.
ReplyDeleteLiz, I like the snow, but would have preferred it waited a little longer to make its appearance. It has all melted away and currently we are not expecting anymore.
DeleteYour snowy pics look lovely - though the leaves on top of the snow do look odd. We haven't had so much as a frost yet - which is unusual at this time of the year. In fact, it's so warm our heating isn't turning on. Best of luck with the house sale - I haven't moved for over 30 years and would hate the prospect of having to do so now! Have a great week.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much!
DeleteYour pics look great. Although, living in Florida, I'm not really missing the snow that I used to get in New York. It's nice to see pics though :) I hope you have a great week!
ReplyDeleteYvonne, we lived in Singapore for 3 1/2 years where it is hot all year long...we did really miss the snow, so I know if we lived in Fl or somewhere else we would miss it :)
DeleteYou have snow already? Nice. I think it's supposed to snow here on Wednesday.
ReplyDeleteAj, we had snow, it melted away. I haven't looked to see if we have more on the way. I kind of don't want to know.
DeleteWe got a lot of snow too - especially for the first snow of the winter season. Hope you have a good week.
ReplyDeleteThanks Bree!
DeleteI hope you have a fabulous weekend. I'm sure the timing will be perfect for your house to be sold. Your books by Eastman seem like great non-fiction reads! We have a family Secret Santa between the adults and I love it! My daughter uses an online registration system where everyone can share what they'd like. Wow! ou did get tons of snow! It's lovely.
ReplyDeleteThanks Patricia!
DeleteYou've been busy, Cindy. Praying their house goes under contract soon. Only flurries here, but love your photos.

Thanks Cheryl!
DeleteI hope you are able to see your house soon! And look at that snow! It always looks so pretty to me, but I don't have to live in it!
ReplyDeleteMarg, right?!
DeleteI haven't seen snow since I was a kid. It's very pretty, isn't it?
ReplyDeleteAdele, it really is, especially when it is unmarred.
DeleteWhat pretty snow shots! The trees look gorgeous with white. Is it still snowy there? And are you moving away from the area? Cheers.
ReplyDeleteSusan, no, the snow lasted 3 days and it has "warmed" up since then, LOL! We are planning to stay in the same general area, just downsizing a bit.
DeleteThat snow is so pretty to look at!!!
ReplyDeleteJinjer, I agree!
