Series: Heirloom Secrets #3
Author: Ashley Clark
Source: Library
My Review:
Where the Last Rose Blooms is the third book in the series, and can be read as a standalone novel. Having said that, I have read the first two books, and wish I had read them closer to reading this one.
I enjoyed the historical timeline more than the contemporary timeline, which is a bit unusual for me. I was invested in the first half of the book, but the ending seemed slow and just a slight disappointment.
This story dives into depression, abandonment, slavery, and more. It is well done, but for me, it was still a bit heavier than I would have liked for my current mood.
It was interesting to see the way the series came together.
★★★/5
