Welcome to another Top Ten Tuesday! I hope you are off to a great start to your week. This week’s topic features books that I would want with me if I were stranded on a desert island. Since I do not typically read a book over and over again, I will pick some of the books that have been on my to-be-read list for quite a while. Top Ten
Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl and you can head over there to see what books others would want if they were stranded on an island.
My Bible-if I am going to be stranded anywhere I would need my Bible for the hope and encouragement it would give me!
Get Out of Your Head by Jennie Allen-I would also need help with my thought life.
Hope Between the Pages by Pepper Basham-I have actually read this one and it is one I wanted to read immediately after I finished it.
The Amish Midwife by Mindy Starns Clark The Reconciliation by Susan Lantz Simpson Before I Called You Mine by Nicole Deese The Bridge to Belle Island by Julie Klassen Broken Like Glass by Bree Livingston After A Fashion by Jen TuranoThe Number of Love by Roseanna M. White
If you know me at all you know I LOVE suspense, mystery, thriller type books...but I would assume I am alone on this island and my imagination would not be able to handle those kind of books 😂😂 What books would you want if you were stranded on a desert island? I would love to hear from you!
Same! I would want my scriptures with me so I have something to ponder deeply as well as something that would give me hope and comfort. Also, I've never actually read the Old Testament all the way through, so that would be a good time to tackle that...
ReplyDeleteHappy TTT!
Hey Susan, there is a lot of good stuff in the Old Testament too ;) It would be a great time to read it. Thanks for stopping by!
DeleteI have not read many of the books on this list, but they do intrigue me. For some reason, I figured I was alone, but had no problem surviving because I brought no survival books with me. I totally agree that I need my bible for hope, encouragement, and inspiration. I am with Susan. I have not read it cover to cover, so there is that as well.
ReplyDeleteCarla, I also assumed I would be alone! I didn't think about survival books or books to be used as a fire, LOL. I would probably die quickly, but would die happy, lol.
DeleteLovely list Cindy, I don't have any of these on my list, however, I could easily use your list too!
ReplyDeleteThanks Wendy. I enjoyed your list as well.
DeleteThat's brave of you to go for books you've never experienced.I'd be petrified they would turn out to be duds!
ReplyDeleteYes, there is that risk, but then I guess I would have books for a fire?! Gotta find the positives, lol.
DeleteLots of great reading possibilities on your list. The Bible made my list this week too, mainly because I've always wanted to read the whole thing but haven't managed to yet.
ReplyDeleteYes, definitely a time to get to the books that you've always wanted to read but haven't had the time for yet.
