Back to School

August is the typical back-to-school month. and my daughter will be going back to Ohio soon for her second year of college and my son will be starting the 11th grade...and so will I since we home-school 😂😂 Are you reading for the school year to start? I so am NOT! Usually I am. I love the routines and knowing what each day holds and just getting back at it. But, this year I am the least prepared that I have ever been and even though we have ended last year early, I still am not ready. I guess I better get there because we will be starting on August 29th, which just so happens to be our latest start ever 🤷 Are you reading for school to start this year? Why or why not?

In honor of all those who are teaching, sending kiddos off to school, homeschooling, going to school yourself, or wish you were....here are some of the books that I have read or plan to read with "school" somewhere in the title.

Okay, so technically We Share Everything does not have school in the title, but I had to share it! This was one of my favorite books to read to my kiddos when they were little. It's about kids in Kindergarten and there teacher keeps telling them "in Kindergarten we share everything!" which leads to some hilarious chaos! If have little ones I highly recommend it!

Have you read any of these? What books would you add to the school list? No matter where you are in the "school" readiness, I hope you all have a great school year!

  1. Happy School Year! 🍎📚 All of the picture books on your list were some of my favourites! Robert Munsch, and Stan & Jan Berenstain's books are wonderful.

    1. Hi Lectrice, thanks for stopping by! They are such cute stories, I taught Pre-K and K and just loved to read those stories :)

  2. I love this post, all those books about school! I don't have school aged children anymore so it's nice for me this year. I only have to worry about planning my errand runs around the school zones!

    1. Hi Wendy, I understand that!! I feel like I am approaching the finish line, 2 years, and I am so thankful. Since we homeschool I also have to try and remember the school zones and times for my errands. I always end up needing something at Harris Teeter which takes about 5 minutes to get to...unless it is time for school...which it usually is, LOL!
