Top Ten Tuesday-Reread for the first time

Welcome to another Top Ten Tuesday! I hope you are off to a great start to your week. This week’s topic is books that you wish you could read again for the first time.  Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl and you can head over there to see other readers' books they wish they could read for the first time or their twist on today's topic.

The first book that comes to mind is Pepper Basham's Hope Between the Pages. I thought this book was a literary genius! You can see all my thoughts here.

The next one that comes to mind is Cynthia Ruchti's Facing the Dawn. This book is rich, profound, and deeply moving. You can read my full review here.

The Last Sin Eater by Francine Rivers. This one had a profound effect on me, once I caught the meaning! (yeah, I was a little slow). There is also a movie about it now, but the book is better.

Nor Forsake by Julie Presley. I read this one about 5 years ago. It had me laughing and crying.

A Man Worth Shaving For by Michelle Pennington. A great read with accepting your body image and lots of humor.

Book Love by Debbie Tung. I am not a graphic novel fan, but this book is for all book nerds, avid readers everywhere! It's humor can only be appreciated by true book lovers.

Sway by Amy Matayo. It is original with lots of grit and character.

On Every Side by Karen Kingsbury. This one is fantastic for what all we are going through now with cendership and condemnation.

Because You're Mine by Colleen Coble. A gothic type novel set in South Carolina with lots of mystery and intrigue.

From This Moment by Kim Vogel Sawyer. Despite the circumstances the characters find themselves in they can still find hope. Isn't that a message we all need today?

What books do you wish you could read again for the first time? Have you read any of the ones on my list? Be sure to click on the link below to join in today's fun!

  5. The only book on this list I've read is From This Moment, which I didn't love as much as others. The Last Sin Eater is on a list of books that I don't want to forget about, but I'm not quite willing to add to my TBR. I'm worried it'll be too heavy for me. But then, it was recommended by my sister, and most of her recommendations so far have turned out to be great for me, so...okay, it's time to move it to the TBR proper. It's not the only book in your list that I'm going to look at more closely either. Great list; thanks for sharing!

    1. The Last Sin Eater is worth reading at least one time :) It is a heavier read but saving it for when you know you can handle that would be good too. Thanks for stopping by.

    1. Sarita, I was so unsure of it, but once I understood the concept it really made me appreciate what Christ has done for us. I also think it is one of those books that you have to be in the mood for because I remember reading it and thinking how weird it was, until I got it.
