Stacking the shelves #4/Sunday Post #1

This is only my fourth time participating in stacking the shelves, but with Christmas and thrift shopping I got a LOT of books that I want to share!!!

Stacking The Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks! And audiobooks. Don’t forget audiobooks! In other words, if you can read it or if it can be read to you – no matter how you got it – it belongs in Stacking the Shelves. The Stacking the Shelves meme is hosted at Reading Reality.

This one has been out of print for several years and I hadn't been able to find it!

Song of Silence and The Lady in Residence were both on my Amazon Wishlist but I grabbed them up since I had the opportunity!!!

Super excited that it will finally be cold enough tomorrow to wear it!!

Gifts from fellow book bloggers from my wishlist!!!

All of these wonderful surprises made for a fabulous holiday! I am beyond thrilled to be accepted into the blogger community and then to have people send me gifts. I am blown away by the kindness that you all have shown me. I love the blogging community. It is awesome that we don't have to have the same taste in books, that it is our love of books that bring the community together!

I am also linking up with the Sunday Post. The Sunday Post is a blog news meme hosted at Caffeinated Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog and showcase books and things we have received. Share news about what is coming up on your blog for the week ahead. Join in weekly, bi-weekly or for a monthly wrap up.

What books have you added to your physical or virtual bookshelves? I would love to hear from you. Click on the icon below to join in on the fun.

    1. I have not read her in MANY years but I kept hearing how good this one is and I was excited to pick it up. What do you think of that original cover?!

    2. I love that cover! That's the thing about some of the older editions of her work, and some of the paperback covers also- they can be so distinctive!

    1. I did get spoiled, but some of it was me spoiling myself, LOL! I am planning to try NOT to buy any books this year, or at least very few, so I think I got scared and wanted to compensate, LOL. Happy New Year!

  12. Nice goodies, including awesome socks!
I actually found Crooked House quite shocking, especially at the time it was written - of course you need to read the book, to the very end- to know what I mean

  14. You know, at the rate I acquire books (often without reading them any time soon, bought OR borrowed)...I should probably participate in this Stacking the Shelves theme. In the meantime, let me rave about your great finds & gifts!

    1. I don't really know Agatha Christie's books anyway, but I have absolutely NO idea what that book could possibly be about based on the fluffy-duckling cover. Absolute chaos in my brain right now trying to figure out how this represents a mystery. Madness in its simplicity, fantastic work.

    2. The Reckoning at Gossamer Pond is a good one! Highly recommend, kinda want to own it myself.

    3. Get me the fainting couch, I simply must swoon over the gorgeous photographic covers on the Denton and Ruchti books. I am mentally putting them all in my thrift-store shopping basket without even reading the back cover.

    4. LOVE the socks & sweatshirt.

    5. And aww, how lovely to get so many gifed books. Lots of appealing titles here, but The Lady and the Lion Heart looks really intriguing.

    1. It was a blessing for sure! Thank you for such a thoughtful reply. I do enjoy Jaime Jo's works and am looking forward to both of these :) If you have not read Denton or Ruchti, I highly recommend both. I read Facing the Dawn by Cynthia Ruchti last year, it was a 5 star read and made me want to read ALL her works :)

  15. I love Agatha Christie so much. I read a really cool book by Kathryn Harkup about the poisons Christie uses in her novels. It was really interested and lovers of her novels would definitely enjoy it.

    1. Hi Sarah, It has been years since I have read Agatha Christie, but I have heard so much about her recently, especially this one, that I want to start reading her again. That book does sound interesting.
