Stacking the Shelves #13, Sunday Post #10, Sunday Salon #5

Hey bookish friends! I hope you are having a fabulous weekend. We had a busy week and I am worn out. I plan to chill and hang out with my family today. My daughter heads back to college tomorrow so I am soaking up these moments. What are your plans for the weekend?

Stacking The Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks! And audiobooks. The Stacking the Shelves meme is hosted at Reading Reality.

A book I requested the library to get came in and they put it on hold for me. I picked it up but I don't have time to read it in the two weeks that I would have it so I am not going to mention it here.

Kindle Freebies:

My kiddos and I took another road trip to another McKay's Used Bookstore, this time in Greensboro. I walked out with a few finds:

Counting these books and the ones I bought last week I added 34 books to my Goodreads shelf this week (send help)!!!! It's too many to post here 😉

I finished 5 books this week, dnf 2, and started 2 more (1 fiction,1 audio). I am still working on some of the reviews.

I also decorated my little library for St. Patrick's day, to see all the pictures visit the Little Free library page.

I am also linking up with the Sunday Post. The Sunday Post is a blog news meme hosted at Caffeinated Reviewer. I will also be joining Deb at Readerbuzz for the Sunday Salon.

What books have you added to your physical or virtual bookshelves? I would love to hear from you. Click on the icons below to join in on the fun. Have a great weekend!

  1. We are experiencing a winter weather advisory which has so far consisted of rain or a rain/sleet mix. It is not a good day to be out and about. Looks like you picked up some good books at McKay's! We are getting ready to leave for a trip in a few days, so I put a freeze on some of my holds from the library. It never fails that they come in when I have left town 🙄. I hope you have a relaxing weekend!

    1. Gretchen, I understand completely! It is in the 70s here so it's hard to believe other's are still getting wintry mixes. I hope you enjoy your time away and have a great weekend!

  2. I love the Little Free Libraries in my neighborhood. A few days ago, I found a perfect copy of Louise Erdrich's book "The Night Watchman" in one of them, and was really happy, as I have been meaning to read it and now I am reading it.

  5. I got in four books from the library this week that I had only a short time to read. I focused on reading the two I most wanted to read, and I managed to get those read. I'll have to return the other two unread.

Sometimes I just sit on my front porch and watch people come up to my LFL and pick books. Sometimes people just drop off books on my porch or next to the library. I love my Little Free Library.

    1. Deb, I am enjoying it as well. I have an Indian family in my neighborhood who ring the bell and come IN and look at the books on my shelf, and return the books to me. I told them they didn't have to and they could pick from the books IN the library :) Oh well, it's nice to chat with people :)

  7. We had a tiny bit of rain here this weekend, although north of the area had tornado warnings. Supposedly going to have some more weather tonight into tomorrow. My Sunday will be the usual dinner at my mom's with my niece and nephew, and brother and sister-in-law. I love that little library, wish I could do something like that! Have a great week!

  9. Hope you have a wonderful chill day! We need those sometimes. :) And ooh what's this about Mackinac Island? As a Michigan resident and lover of Mackinac Island I'm always curious when a book pops up that's set there!

  17. We have a little free library by our community pool which was put up recently. Thanks for the tip about McKays. If we travel a bit on spring break maybe we can go there! I don't buy too many physical books anymore but it's still fun to go.
