Stacking the Shelves #62, Sunday Post #59, Sunday Salon #53

Hey bookish friends! How are things going for you? My husband went back to work on Wednesday (first day since getting Covid) and came home by lunchtime. He still didn't have energy. Then, I was hit hard and fast by a nasty stomach bug, super sick Wednesday, then sleeping the better part of the next 35 hours! I am doing better today, still not 100% but on the mend. It has been crazy around here.

Stacking The Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks! And audiobooks. The Stacking the Shelves meme is hosted at Reading Reality.

NetGalley: None.

Library: None (still catching up on the stack I have out...12)

Kindle Freebies: None.

Book Mail: I won The Gentleman Physician in a giveaway. Then, because she accidentally sent me a used copy, Kav, ordered and sent me the second book to make up for it!! So unnecessary, but so super sweet!

Bought: None.

Other updates:

With being sick for the better part of three days I got behind on reading and am overdue for one of my reviews. I finished 3 books and the reviews for them are below.

To see what's happening on the home front you can read my update here.

What you might have missed on the blog:

Book Review: The Bluff (audio review)

Book Review: Of Literature & Lattes

Top Ten Tuesday: A Spring Bouquet of Roses

Book Review: The Weight of Air

Book Review: Shift

I am also linking up with the Sunday Post. The Sunday Post is a blog news meme hosted at Caffeinated Reviewer. I will also be joining Deb at Readerbuzz for the Sunday Salon.

What books have you added to your physical or virtual bookshelves? I would love to hear from you. Click on the icons below to join in on the fun. Have a great weekend!

  1. I've had a couple times where the library holds all come in at once and I have a huge stack to work through. Usually I manage to make it work (sometimes with a renewal or two). Have a terrific week and find time to put your feet up with a good book.

    1. Lyn, yes, a little bit of a slow reading week for me, my average is probably 4 books a week.

  8. So sorry you have been dealing with illness at your house. Glad things are on the mend. Miss Newbury's List sounds really fun. I will be picking up Knox by Susan May Warren and The Mistletoe Countess by Pepper Basham at the library. I read Knox a couple of years ago, but never got around to the rest in the series. I am going to reread Knox before continuing the series. Hope you have a great weekend!

  12. I think a stomach bug is the worst sickness. It just seems to go on and on and you have no energy. I'm sorry you and your husband have both been suffering.

It's hard to get caught up once you get over sickness, too. I hope both of you are on your feet and feeling good soon.

  15. I had that nasty stomach bug. Throwing up the first day and then incredibly weak for 2 - 3 days. Awful.

  17. I’m sorry to hear that you and your husband have not been well. It takes so long sometimes to recover from some of these things. Congratulations on the Goodreads win! Have a great week.

  18. I have about the same amount of books from the library as well. Most renew multiple times since they aren't requested by other people, so I can have them for up to nine weeks. Have a great week and I hope you both feel better soon!! :-)
