Happy Tuesday my bookish friends!! I hope you all are doing well. Today's Top Ten Tuesday topic is: Books
Set in Another Time (These can be historical, futuristic, alternate
universes, or even in a world where you’re not sure when it takes place you
just know it’s not right now.) I really don't read books that are alternate universes, or futuristic, but I do read Historical fiction, so I will focus on ten historical fiction books I own that I still need to read. Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl and you can head over there to see what our other bookish friends are up to today.
Top Ten Books set in another time that I own and need to read:
Have you read any of these? If so, which ones do I need to move up the TBR pile?
What topic did you go with this week? I would love for you to share in the comments. To see what other topics our bookish friends are doing this week click on the image below.
LOL the title of your post. I feel you on this!
ReplyDeleteTeri, yes! I had SO many I could have picked from.
DeleteYou do have a lot of historical fiction books. They all look good. I've only read the Michelle Griep one, and I liked it, but one thing happens in it that I thought was really sad and wished could have ended differently. I'm off to look up The Gray Chamber and Paint and Nectar. :D
ReplyDeleteLark, now you have me curious! I don't want to be sad, LOL, but will get to it eventually.
DeleteMay you enjoy them!
ReplyDeleteThanks Lydia!
DeleteI recommended all regency romance this week. I am a huge fan of historical fiction, so this week's TTT was really fun for me!
ReplyDeleteKristyn, I do like some regency romance novels, I look forward to seeing your list!
DeleteI haven't heard of these, but I have plenty of other historical fiction novels on my never-ending TBR.

Laurie, I get it!
DeleteI hope you enjoy these! I haven't read any of them, but I also populated my list this week with (almost) all books that I already own.

Thanks Nicole!
DeleteI haven't read any of these but I love the cover of The London House. It's so interesting to see the variety on everyone's lists.
ReplyDeleteJoanne, yes! I think it's funny that there is so much historical fiction on the lists.
DeleteI hope you get a chance to read some of these great books this year. And I hope you and your family are feeling better this week :)
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteI haven't read any of these. I hope you enjoy them.
ReplyDeleteThanks Yvonne!
DeleteI hope you enjoy all of these when you get the chance.

Thanks Pam!
DeleteI really enjoyed The Number of Love! Roseanna M. White is becoming a favorite historical fiction author for me.
ReplyDeleteMy TTT list this week is about my favorite historical fiction :-)
Rachel, will pop over to see your list!
DeleteOh this is a great list! I enjoyed Finding Lady Enderly and Lost in Darkness!
ReplyDeleteThanks Michelle, good to know!
DeleteI rarely buy books unless I am sure I will reread it. What "rules" do you apply before you purchase a book?
ReplyDeleteAnne, I used to go to a used bookstore that would have super low prices for books, like under $3 for fiction, or under $1 for nonfiction, but I have caught some fiction for 5 cents, that is when I picked up most of the books I haven't read. Other's I have won in giveaways or gifted. I can't afford to pay full price for books very often, but when I do, it's authors that have already shown "favorite" status.
DeleteI love historical fiction. I haven't read any of these, but I did read another of Katherine Reay's books, The Berlin Letters, and loved it. I have London House on my TBR. This is a great list, Cindy!
ReplyDeleteThanks Wendy! I have several from Katherine Reay I have read, and several that I still need to read.
DeleteI haven't heard of any of these but I enjoy historical fiction very much and some of these look really good!
ReplyDeleteThanks Haze!
DeleteGood idea to choose books you haven't read, yet. Maybe I should do the same, as my TBR pile gets larger and larger. LOL
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting my post:

Marianne, that TBR is never ending, but I wouldn't change it, I will always have options to choose from!
DeleteThat is a brilliant point, Cindy.
DeleteThanks, LOL!
DeleteLost in Darkness sounds really interesting and different!!
ReplyDeleteErin, I think so, I have heard fabulous things about it!
DeleteI could probably make a Top 500 list with this prompt! LOL. I love historical fiction.
ReplyDeleteHappy TTT (on a Wednesday)!
Susan, I get it!
DeleteI haven't read Cathy's in YEARS, but I used to read them. Also, I need to read Katherine's books! They seem like they'd be great reads albeit different from her original book "styles." :)
ReplyDeleteRissi, I do like Katherine's books and I haven't read very many of Cathy's but they look fun.
DeleteI like the look and sound of the Silver Shadow book. Love a good mystery/crime drama
ReplyDeleteSarah, I do too!
DeleteI have not read any of these, but I do think they all look very promising. You should start reading them all soon.
ReplyDeleteDeb, I really should, LOL!
DeleteI enjoy historical fiction as long as there is romance in it. All of these are new to me. Based on their cover they all look good.
ReplyDeleteCarla, I also enjoy historical fiction with romance, my favorites also include humor.
DeleteI've read the Gray Chamber and The Silver Shadow. I really enjoyed that series, but The Silver Shadow was my least favourite. Nice list, Cindy. I hope you get time to read them all eventually.
ReplyDeleteThanks Carla, me too!
