Stacking the Shelves #165, Sunday Post #162, Sunday Salon #156

Hey my bookish friends! How was your week? It was another long week, with several extra doctors appointments, but overall it was alright. This weekend is a little bit of work, we have an appointment to look at a house, we'll go to Church, and the rest of the time I hope to relax, read, and blog :) We'll see how it actually goes, LOL!

Stacking The Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks! And audiobooks. The Stacking the Shelves meme is hosted at Reading Reality.

Other updates:

I finished 5 books this week (2 nonfiction that I had started weeks ago) and I DNFed 3 books!!  That is a record for me, I don't think I have ever DNFed that many books in a week. I am almost caught up on reviews (two more to go). I did several updates on my family blog this week. Spring is springing here, I have proof, LOL. These are the flowers in my front yard, and I am also sharing a small quilt project I finished and my husband hung up this week.

What you might have missed on the blog this week:

Book Review: Bram Baxter Marries the Wrong Sister by Latisha Sexton

Book Review: Save the Date by Jenny B. Jones

Top Ten Tuesday-"B" Book Titles

Book Review: Cooper Bailey is a Cinnamon Roll by Jen Atkinson

Book Review: Get A Hobby by Jasmine Cho

Book Review: The Joy of Falling by Lindsay Harrel

Book Review: The Perfect Putt by Annah Conwell

I am also linking up with the Sunday Post. The Sunday Post is a blog news meme hosted at Caffeinated Reviewer. I will also be joining Deb at Readerbuzz for the Sunday Salon.

What books have you added to your physical or virtual bookshelves? I would love to hear from you. Click on the icons below to join in on the fun. Have a great weekend!

  1. Love your garden. We have cold weather till after Mother's Day, so the yard is sparse of flowers. Love your spring blooms.

    1. Sarah, I didn't plant them, and I haven't done anything to keep them alive, not even weed eating, and yet they live.

  5. I love your flowers and the VW bug. I've wanted one since the 70's but started having kids and didn't know how safe it would be with them.

  6. The flowers in your yard are gorgeous. I wonder if they are bulbs. I'd like to learn more about bulbs. And I love seeing that beautiful quilt. My aunt is going to teach me how to quilt-as-you-go this summer, and I'm looking forward to it.

    1. Deb, I have already decided that I will be doing the quilt-as-you-go method for my next big quilt. I have bought some of the materials (it's a king size quilt), so I will prep what I have, then buy more ;)

  7. I hope you get plenty of time to relax this weekend! I actually did add a physical book to my shelves this week–that's rare, as I usually get my books from the library. But I went to a local bookstore yesterday for Independent Bookstore Day and bought a copy of Anne Tyler's Three Days in June. I already started reading it and am enjoying it so far!
