Stacking the Shelves #173 Sunday Post #170, Sunday Salon #164

Hey my bookish friends! How was your week? I started Monday at the ER with my daughter, she has a kidney stone that she has been trying to pass all week. My book club met Thursday night, we had a new member, and despite not loving the book we were discussing, we had a great time. I was finally well enough to make it back to the gym Friday morning, and finally feel like I am back in the land of the living. I got hard news Friday afternoon and am still trying to process it. We are planning to see a few houses this weekend (still no luck on selling ours), go to Church, and hopefully go back to the beach lake we found last weekend.

Stacking The Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks! And audiobooks. The Stacking the Shelves meme is hosted at Reading Reality.

Other updates:

I finished 3 books and DNF'd one this week. I am pretty excited about less ARCs this summer and more time to read my own books, and catching up on a few series that I just want to binge read.

What you might have missed on the blog this week:

Book Review: Turtles in the Road by Rhonda Rhea

Book Review: Wed Wabbit by Lissa Evans

Top Ten Tuesday-More Books to Read this summer

Book Review: The Summer House by Lauren K. Denton

Book Review: Blessing Bentley by Chautona Havig

I am also linking up with the Sunday Post. The Sunday Post is a blog news meme hosted at Caffeinated Reviewer. I will also be joining Deb at Readerbuzz for the Sunday Salon.

What books have you added to your physical or virtual bookshelves? I would love to hear from you. Click on the icons below to join in on the fun. Have a great weekend!

  2. I'm glad you're feeling better and had fun at your book club, but sorry you're not having any luck selling your house. And I don't know what your hard news was, but am sending hugs and prayers your way.

  3. I'm glad you are feeling better. Selling a house can be a real pain, always keeping it "just so" for the potential buyers. Ask your agent if they have gotten feedback from any of the lookers because that helped us some. A few people didn't like the natural wood walls we had in two rooms so there was the option for us to paint, or give a discount toward them painting, Good luck!

  4. Oof, hope your daughter is doing okay. Kidney stones are supposed to be one of the most painful things, aren't they? I had gallstones and that was pretty bad. Best wishes for her!

Hope you have a good weekend!
