Stacking The Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks! And audiobooks. The Stacking the Shelves meme is hosted at Reading Reality.

I finished 3 books and DNF'd one this week. I am pretty excited about less ARCs this summer and more time to read my own books, and catching up on a few series that I just want to binge read.
What you might have missed on the blog this week:
Book Review: Turtles in the Road by Rhonda Rhea
Book Review: Wed Wabbit by Lissa Evans
Top Ten Tuesday-More Books to Read this summer
Book Review: The Summer House by Lauren K. Denton
Book Review: Blessing Bentley by Chautona Havig
I am also linking up with the Sunday Post. The Sunday Post is a blog news meme hosted at Caffeinated Reviewer. I will also be joining Deb at Readerbuzz for the Sunday Salon.
You have quite a few reviews this week! Congrats on being a fast reader and reviewer.
ReplyDeleteThanks Harvee!
DeleteI'm glad you're feeling better and had fun at your book club, but sorry you're not having any luck selling your house. And I don't know what your hard news was, but am sending hugs and prayers your way.
ReplyDeleteThanks Lark, I really appreciate it.
DeleteI'm glad you are feeling better. Selling a house can be a real pain, always keeping it "just so" for the potential buyers. Ask your agent if they have gotten feedback from any of the lookers because that helped us some. A few people didn't like the natural wood walls we had in two rooms so there was the option for us to paint, or give a discount toward them painting, Good luck!
ReplyDeleteThanks Tina!
DeleteOof, hope your daughter is doing okay. Kidney stones are supposed to be one of the most painful things, aren't they? I had gallstones and that was pretty bad. Best wishes for her!
ReplyDeleteHope you have a good weekend!
Nicky, yes, they are super painful! I also had a gallstone and had to have my gallbladder removed, none of it is fun!
DeleteI really hope you have more reading time for books you want to read. Sometimes I get overwhelmed with the books I have to read and forget why I love to read. Enjoy your reading time.
ReplyDeleteThanks Val, I am blessed with time to read right now :)
DeleteGood luck with hard news and with the house sale.
ReplyDeleteThanks Mae!
DeleteI’m glad you’re feeling better although it concerns me that you received hard news on Friday. I hope your daughter passed her stone - my sister and Dad both have battled these several times.
ReplyDeleteThanks Jodie, no, my daughter hasn't passed the stone yet!!
DeleteOh no your poor daughter! My family is so prone to them. Hopefully she is doing better.
ReplyDeleteI am sorry that you received some hard news as well. Hang in there Cindy. Hugs and prayers from Michigan.
Thanks Erin!
DeleteUgh! I’m so sorry your daughter is dealing with a kidney stone. They are so painful. Also sorry for the hard news. But glad you are feeling better. Our house just went on the market. I’m prepared for a long wait.
ReplyDeleteOlivia, good luck with the house sell!! It really depends on the price range, everything here under 400,000 is flying off the market, things above are taking longer.
DeleteI am so sorry for the hard news and your daughter's kidney stone! Ugh! Sounds like there was some good mixed in with the bad. I hope the house sells soon. Here is to a week of lighter and more relaxed reading for you! And I'll pray your daughter passes that stone!
ReplyDeleteThanks Lisa, I appreciate it! We have been praying for her to pass it as well, but she hasn't yet.
Deletecongrats, that's a lot of reviews for one week. Enjoy your upcoming reads!

ReplyDeleteThanks Shellie, I appreciate it!
DeleteGlad you're feeling better! I hope some good books can help keep your mind off the worries.
ReplyDeleteThanks JoAnn, they are good for that!
DeleteGlad you're feeling better, but so sorry about the news you received. I hope your daughter is doing okay. You are in my thoughts and prayers. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Meezan, we need them and they are much appreciated!
DeleteSorry to hear about your daughter - kidney stones are so very painful. And also for the hard news:(. Here's hoping the coming week is a kinder one.
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteI'm sorry to hear about your daughter. I hope she's doing well now. I'm glad you are feeling better, but sorry about the hard news. I hope this is a better week for you.
ReplyDeleteThanks Yvonne, my daughter still hasn't passed the kidney stone, so we are headed to the urologist tomorrow.
DeleteSorry about your daughter. I hope she is doing well.

Thanks Ronyell.
DeleteUgh. Kidney stones are the worst. I'm sorry your house has not sold---I hope the perfect buyer arrives soon. Hard news always takes me a long time to process.
ReplyDeleteGlad you are feeling better!
Thanks Deb, they are the worst!
DeleteSorry to hear about the not-so-great things going on, but glad you are feeling better! I have had two kidney stones in my life and I felt like I was dying, the pain was so unbearable I could not even walk the first time. I could not pass either of them on my own without even more pain, so an overnight in the hospital and quick procedure the next morning worked out for me. We are praying for you and your family.
ReplyDeleteThanks Sarah. I have passed several myself (and have a kidney disease, so they are all over my kidneys). She hasn't passed it yet, so we are off to the urologist tomorrow.
DeleteOh no! Hopefully she gets some relief soon. At least you understand how painful they are! trying to explain it to someone who has never had one is really tough. And my urologist isn't sure why, I drink tons of water every day (I have one of those big gallon jugs with motivational sayings on it marking each hour, lol), and don't eat a lot of foods linked to causing kidney stones like spinach and beets. I will never give up my dark chocolate though, no matter what.
DeleteSarah, yeah, sometimes they don't know why. My guess for my daughter is she doesn't drink enough water. She did pass it though, praise the Lord!
DeleteFingers crossed that you get a house sale soon, and commiserations on the hard news.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week!
Thanks Marg!
DeleteI find this vacation I might get to read more of my own books as well. So glad you're feeling better.
ReplyDeleteCheryl, yay! It's always great to knock out some of our books.
