Stacking The Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks! And audiobooks. The Stacking the Shelves meme is hosted at Reading Reality.

Other updates:
I finished four books this week, the review for one of them will be up Sunday. I finished it too late on Friday night to finish the review. I added a "Classics" page to this blog, I had thought about joining the Classics club, but decided not to. Everything is explained here. Otherwise, nothing newsworthy going on.
What you might have missed on the blog this week:
Book Review: The Message Women's Devotional Bible
Book Review: North and South by Elizabeth Gaskell
Top Ten Tuesday: No Book Slump Here
Book Review: If All Else Sails Audio Review by Emma St. Clair
Book Review: All's Well That Friends Well by Gracie Ruth Mitchell
I am also linking up with the Sunday Post. The Sunday Post is a blog news meme hosted at Caffeinated Reviewer. I will also be joining Deb at Readerbuzz for the Sunday Salon.
Sounds like you had a good reading week! It's nice that you got to walk before work and I hope that you have a good rest of the weekend.

Thanks Emily!
DeleteI hope to get some much needed cleaning done this weekend too. It was such a busy week--I am glad the weekend is finally here! It sounds like you were able to fit in a lot of reading this past week! I like your idea of creating a Classics page. I tried the Classics Challenge, but I do better when I read at my own pace. I hope you are able to read Jane Eyre. It's my favorite classic. Have a great week, Cindy!
ReplyDeleteWendy, I am glad to hear that. The people around me have not been encouraging me to read Jane Eyre, but hopefully I will like it too :)
DeleteKindergarteners started on Wednesday and 1st-5th grade started Thursday, so to say I am tired is an understatement. I am only at my computer long enough to post one review and respond to comments, then it's to the couch for me for reading and probably a nap. Hope you enjoy your hike on Sunday! It's so beastly hot right now, I did errands this morning and will no be leaving until tomorrow evening to pick Eleanor up from her father's house!
ReplyDeleteI saw this as I was commenting Sarah....I am a teacher too so I know how exhausted you are. It's soooooo hard to read and blog in August isn't it? Have a great school year!
DeleteSarah, so hard to get back into routines, isn't it?! WE had a cooler morning and our high was only 80, so it was a great (still hot) morning for a hike!
DeleteWe took a lovely long walk in the shaded forest today, but it's generally too hot even in the mornings to walk here. We ended up walking six miles---a long way for us. Hope your hike is just as lovely!
ReplyDeleteDeb, our 4-mile hike turned into 4.7 miles, and it was HARD. So many steps and steep climbs, but it was also so good! It was also hot, but our high today was only 80, and it was 74 when we got out there, so it wasn't terrible.
DeleteWe took some time out for a lunch together. A long walk sounds great and hopefully I can get a chance to do one tomorrow. Have a great weekend Cindy.
ReplyDeleteThanks Jodie!
DeleteYou seem to be on a reading roll ... keep it going! I'm impressed you finished off North & South. way to go.
ReplyDeleteThanks Susan!
DeleteYou had a good reading week! I hope you’re getting to take that long walk / hike today.
ReplyDeleteOlivia, we did and I am feeling it :)
DeleteHope you have a fun hike! And of course some good reading time. 😉
ReplyDeleteThanks Nicky, hike is a check, not much reading time (yet) today!
DeleteI love morning walks! :) I have so many books on hold at the library, but none of them came in last week! That probably means they'll all come in at once and flood me with more reading material than I can handle at once lol. But my sweet husband took me to two local bookstores last week and I got a book at each store.
ReplyDeleteKaris, when I reserve quite a few books, that happens to me too, they all come in at one time and inevitably something doesn't get read. And, yay for new books!
DeleteHope you have a great week.
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteI hope you have a great hike today! We are going to try to get out some today, finally!! Lol.
ReplyDeleteThe Bible Study book sounds interesting.
Erin, yay, I hope you all are able to get out and all goes well!
DeleteSo glad to hear that you've been having some beautiful mornings and taking walks and going on a hike this weekend! The weather here this summer has been so erratic; some days it's rainy and cold, some days it's so hot, that I can't believe I'm actually looking forward to autumn so at least I know what to expect! Hope you have a wonderful hike today!
ReplyDeleteThanks Haze, it was great!
DeleteI hope you enjoy these Cindy! I joined the Classics Club for a couple of years and was such an awful participant I quit, lol. Just couldn't get it done. It's a time commitment for sure. You are not alone! Have a great week. I'm glad to hear you are feeling a bit better? and getting out walking.
ReplyDeleteThanks Shellie, I am still have some struggles and waiting on results, but I am determined to do my best to stay healthy!
DeleteFour books in a week is a good reading week.
ReplyDeleteAnne - Books of My Heart
Thanks Anne.
DeleteLast week was a busy and tiring one for me, too, with my mom's physical therapy and work starting up again. I wish an easier week for both of us this week. And some good sleep, too. :D
ReplyDeleteThanks Lark, good sleep makes ALL the difference :)
DeleteYou had a great reading week. I hope you have a good week this week too.
ReplyDeleteThanks Yvonne!
DeleteI like Katie Powner's books. I need to look this one up. I am hoping to finish listening to The Unlikely Yarn of the Dragon Lady by Sharon J. Mondragon this week. Hope you have a good week!
ReplyDeleteThanks Lisa!
