Stacking the Shelves #190 Sunday Post #187 Sunday Salon #181

Hey my bookish friends! How was your week? Mine was long. I am finally getting back into all my routines and things, plus I had several extra appointments this week, and we had several evenings with showings. Then, on Wednesday my mom was admitted to the hospital, she had 1300cc's of fluid drained off her lung on Thursday, which had compressed the lung. They are testing the fluid to see if it is from the tumors in her lungs, if so, they will put a port in so they can drain it periodically. This was her first stay in the hospital, and of course you get no rest in there. Thankfully she was able to go home Friday night. She is ready to be back on her own schedule. Today is my daughter's 23rd birthday, so she is here and we will be celebrating her and having some family time.

Stacking The Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your  shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks! And audiobooks. The Stacking the Shelves meme is hosted at Reading Reality.

Other updates:

I finished 4 books this week, one was a reread, so I didn't write another review for it. I am currently caught up on reviews. I grabbed all those books from the library this week, but I have no idea when I will read them 😂. I have 4ish ARCs that I need to read and review in the next week or so...plus two library books I have had out for a while.

My other blog if you are interested.

  8. That sounds like quite the ordeal - what a lot of fluid, I'm guessing your mother feels a whole lot better. And I hope you have a better week ahead of you, Cindy.

The balance of it all is wild, I do hope you're getting in some self-care time, with or without a book in your hands :-)
