Week 1 (10/27-11/2) Your Year in Nonfiction: Celebrate your year of nonfiction. What books have you read? What were your favorites? Have you had a favorite topic? Is there a topic you want to read about more? What are you hoping to get out of participating in Nonfiction November? (Hosted by Heather at Based on a True Story.)
What books have you read? I feel like I have read less nonfiction this year than I normally would. I have read 35 nonfiction books and DNFd one. 14% of my reading this year has been nonfiction, with plans to finish at least 5 more nonfiction books.
What were your favorites?
Have you had a favorite topic? Is there a topic you want to read about more?
I am always looking for ways to grow or improve in my faith walk, in parenting, with my hobbies, all the things.
What are you hoping to get out of participating in Nonfiction November?
I am always interested in learning and growing, so hopefully I will continue to grow that nonfiction TBR.

Well done Cindy! I hope to read more nonfiction in 2026.
ReplyDeleteJodie, I love reading nonfiction, I just usually read it slow.
DeleteI always try and read a few nonfiction books in November. I've got a couple checked out of the library, all set in WWII strangely enough. Good luck with your Nonfiction November reading!
ReplyDeleteLark, that's funny, must be what you are wanting more of right now.
DeleteI hope you enjoy participating in Nonfiction November. Untangle Your Emotions and Hidden Libraries both sound interesting!
ReplyDeleteThanks Helen!
DeleteI hope you enjoy! I loved Hidden Libraries, and I've earmarked it as a gift for people, too.
ReplyDeleteLiz, that's a wise idea!
DeleteI had just 8 nonfiction from the past year. I’ve added Hidden Libraries to my TBR list.
ReplyDeleteOlivia, it is interesting!
DeleteThe Hidden Libraries books looks wonderful. Thanks for sharing your year of reading nonfiction!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by!
DeleteHidden libraries looks so good!
ReplyDeleteDwt-i really enjoyed it. So many unique libraries around the world!
DeleteI've not heard of Hidden Libraries - it looks interesting because I love all things b ook-related. :) Before my library even had a building in my small town, we had a book mobile that would come by every few weeks, and I would check out every Nancy Drew book that they had.
ReplyDeleteAw, Lisa, I love that! I miss the book mobile days! Our library system still has one which I think is super cool. I loved Hidden Libraries, so many unique libraries!
DeleteI am delighted to see the nonfiction books you enjoyed most this year. I've just looked for and found two---Flourish and The Intentional Year---that look especially interesting to me. Thank you so much for sharing these.
ReplyDeleteDeb-happy to share, I hope you find them enjoyable.
