Top Ten Tuesday-2026 Bookish Goals

Happy Tuesday my bookish friends!! I hope you all are doing well. Today's Top Ten Tuesday topic isGoals for 2026 (Bookish or not! Share your reading goals, personal goals, etc.). I do have bookish goals that I made this year, pretty similar to every other year, I think. Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl and you can head over there to see what our other bookish friends are up to today.

Top Ten Tuesday-Bookish Goals

🕮 read 200 books

  • 50 that I own (physical and Kindle)
  • 12 or more on Kindle Unlimited (because we pay for it, really should be 24, but my husband does read from it some)

🕮 Less ARCs (I want one or less a month)

🕮 No reading challenges other than my Goodreads goal to read 200 books

🕮 Work on reading existing series I have started

🕮 Focus on the nonfiction I own on my Kindle (I didn't read any from here last year, but I did add to it 🤦)

🕮 Reread the Holly series by C.C. Warrens

🕮 Reread the Anne of Green Gables series

Nonbookish goal: be intentional (with my time, my health, reading what I want, etc.)

I love reading and I don't need goals to read, but I do enjoy making them and seeing how I do over the year. The goal of this year is less pressure and stress. I dropped several goals I normally make (read more male authors #fail because I can't find any that write the genres I like), and read more new-to-me authors (I do this anyway, so don't need the reminder this year).

Do you have any bookish goals? What topic did you go with this week? I would love for you to share in the comments. To see what other topics our bookish friends are doing this week click on the image below.

    1. Michelle, that's what I kept saying, LOL! I figured if I set it as a goal, I MIGHT get it accomplished this year!

  3. I totally agree with you – I don't *need* to set reading goals because I love reading anyway, but they're just so darn fun to make! Happy reading, Cindy!

  4. Being intentional is a good goal to have.

Thanks for sharing your #TTT and good luck with all your goals!

  5. I hope ALL of these goals (great time to reread 'Anne' since the 80s version is celebrating its US anniversary this year) and any others you have go well and are easy to accomplish for you. Wishing you a great 2026! :)

    1. Rissi, LOL, I had NO idea that was happening until you just said it. I just had been saying for years I needed to reread it, so I set it as a goal, so that it is more likely to happen this year.

  6. I’m currently rereading the Anne of Green Gables series. Hope you enjoy your reread of it.

  7. I want to do more rereads of favorite books. That's something I can count on, as opposed to reading something new---and who knows how that will go.

    1. Deb, exactly! I need some comfort, but I also need to see if I still like some of my previously loved books.

  10. Great list, Cindy! The Holly series by C.C. Warrens is a huge favorite with my library patrons. I have checked those books out SOOOOO many times. Happy Tuesday!

    1. Stephanie, I think I have said it before, she is one of my favorites! And, she has a new book coming out in the series this year. I can't wait!

  12. I love that you failed at reading more male authors! I try to read more female authors when I can because the market is so saturated with male authors, so I love that you're already reading so many female authors! Enjoy Anne of Green Gables, she's my favorite too!

    1. Haze, there are just not as many male authors that write Christian fiction (nonfiction, yes), which is sad. I do agree though, the general market is saturated with male authors, maybe because so many females are writing Christian fiction, LOL?!

  14. These are great goals! While I love challenges, I stressed myself out last year, so I kept them to a minimum this year. Therefore, I can appreciate striving for less pressure. I gave up on ARCs completely due to feeling pressured.

    1. Olivia, I love the ARCs and supporting authors in this way, but it is so easy to over do it and get overwhelmed. Same for the challenges, I WANT to support other bloggers in this way, but it gets to be too much.

  15. I'm with you on reading less ARCs. I love getting early access, of course, but it can make my reading feel too regimented. I need a bit of spontaneity!

    Happy TTT (on a Wednesday)!

  17. These are great goals, Cindy! The goal to finish a series you've already started really resonates with me. I am so guilty of reading the first and second book of a series and then leaving it in the dust. I really want to finish a couple series this year. Good luck with all your goals, Cindy.

  18. Always good to work on reading the books that we own! I also like the general mindset of being intentional with things. I think it's very applicable to all parts of life. Best of luck with your goals this year!

  19. Good luck! My TBR would love me if I could read 200 books a year.

    1. Aj, I probably add that many to my want to read list each year as well, it's a never ending struggle, LOL!

  20. Re-reading Anne of Green Gables is a fun goal. I've only read the first book, but Anne of Avonlea is on my list for this year. I might have to reread the first one, it's been a while. 200 books would be impossible for me, but I'm sure you'll smash it! I hope you achieve all your goals 😊.

  21. Being intentional is such a great nonbookish goal! Love your bookish goals, too. :D

  22. Love your honesty here! I’m totally understanding about working on series. I’m so at a loss there…I start way too many to ever finish!

    1. Shellie, I took the time a few years ago to write down all the series that I knew I had started, but had not finished (Goodreads helped with this), and now I track them that way. At the beginning of this year I updated the list because I had started more series in 2025 and forgot to write them down. It's not a perfect system, but it helps. And, I also mark the ones I am not interested in finishing.

  23. Good luck with your goals. I am also not seeking many ARCs this year. My public library is great and much less relaxing not to have a deadline.

    1. Jodie, exactly! When I became a reviewer and started requesting ARCs I did not have access to a lot of new releases, but now I do.
