Stacking the Shelves #210 Sunday Post #207 Sunday Salon #201

Hey, my bookish friends!!  How are you all doing? This week was chaos! I am day 6 of a vertigo flare-up. I was given drugs that is supposed to take the dizziness away, and has not. I also found out my work schedule is changing, but I don't know yet, if I will get to keep the third day or not, and it is changing on Monday. I was working Monday, Thursday, Friday 9-3, now I will be working Monday and Thursday 8:30-4:30, and maybe every other Friday, or not Fridays at all. I am hoping for some hours on Friday so I don't lose any. We looked at land this morning (Saturday), that we are considering building a house on, but it's too early to know if it is all going to work out. Not much else planned for the weekend, rest, and hopefully losing this vertigo!

Stacking The Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your  shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks! And audiobooks. The Stacking the Shelves meme is hosted at Reading Reality.

I finished four books this week. While my blogging schedule has been off, my reading schedule keeps on going. I also saw an Instagram Post this week about a lady who feeds her family on $300 a month!!! This inspired me and sent me on a rabbit trail to see if I could come anywhere near this. She does all her shopping at Aldi. While my research is not complete, it is not cheaper (on the whole) to shop at my Aldi, than my Wal-Mart. She is in CA, I think, and I am in OH. While I will not get as low as $300 a month, we do some organic stuff, and specialty stuff because of food allergies/intolerances, I do want to find ways to cut back where we can.

What you might have missed on the blog this week:

  1. I am always fascinated by ways to save money, especially with food purchases. I hope that your job hours work out well for you. I’m not reading the book club selection this month because I won’t be here for it.

  2. Cutting back on groceries for me is tough. It's where I spend most of my money monthly. I buy primarily organic food, which is always more expensive. I also shop at an independently owned grocery store. I hope your vertigo goes away and you're able to enjoy your weekend and week. Also hope your work schedule works out for the best! :)

  3. I hope that you get better soon.

We shop at Aldi here in the UK. Over Easter we got a small bag of carrots for 4p. And a small bag of potatoes for 8p. There are some excellent deals if you get the timing right!

    Have a great weekend!
