Hey, my bookish friends!!  How are you all doing? I ended up with Monday off of work because my boss wanted to be sure I wasn't going to bring Covid in there house. Monday night I started with a sore throat, Wednesday I had a high fever and slept most of the day, but the sore throat was gone. Thursday another day of high fever, two naps, and by the evening the sore throat was back. Friday I thought the fever had broken, so I didn't take any fever meds and by mid-day it was back, but thankfully not as high. I took an hour and 15 minute nap. My cough that I have had since I was sick in September is worse again. Mid-afternoon my husband came home not feeling well either (no fever yet, just the sore throat and feeling crummy. This weekend we will mostly be laying low again. My son is feeling better, though still coughing quite a bit. I tested negative to Covid and flu, but it felt like the flu, but is probably Covid. What are you up to?

My Review:

This is the third book in the Amish Mail-order Bride series by Kathleen Fuller. I would recommend reading the first two books before reading this one. While the first two books focus on different characters, there are some from both books that are also in this one, plus an overarching story that carries through all three books. It will make it easier to understand and follow all the relationships. It had been four years since I read the second book, and I wish I had read them closer together so I could remember everything a bit better.

I have a confession to make. This book has been on my "want to read" list for years. After checking it out of the library multiple times, including on Hoopla, and never reading it, I decided I didn't want to read it. Then, I decided to give it one more try. You all, I almost missed a fabulous book because of some weird mood I had previously been in!!
