Top Ten Tuesday-Authors I Want to Read

Happy Tuesday, my bookish friends!! I hope you all are doing well. Today's Top Ten Tuesday topic is top ten authors I want to read. There are MANY authors that I keep saying I am going to read but haven't gotten around to yet. I will try to limit the list to ten. 😂   Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl and you can head over there to see what our other bookish friends are up to today.

Top Ten authors I haven't gotten around to yet AND I own a PHYSICAL copy of

Erynn Mangum (I own 6 of her books!)

Siri Mitchell (I own 4 of her books, 3 different genres)
Fredrik Backman
Joanne Bischof
Becky Wade (I own this one and one on Kindle)
Roseanna M. White (I own 2 of hers)
Susan Sleeman
Tea Cooper (I own 3 of hers)
Michelle Griep

Chris Fabry

Okay, I have lost my mind. I need to stop going to used bookstores! I can't believe how many books I own from some of these authors, NEVER having read one book by them. In my defense though, I do think I am going to enjoy most of these authors and my library does not carry books by them. Just another reminder I need to be working on my physical bookshelves.

Have you read any of these? Which author should I try first?

What did you do for this week? I would love for you to share in the comments. To see what other topics our bookish friends are doing this week click on the image below.

  2. I am sure they will all be lovely books. I don't have a single copy of my list on my TBR pile. Of yours, I have read "A Man Called Ove". I'm sure you'll enjoy it.

I chose Nobel Prize winners for my TTT this week.

    1. A Man Called Ove is one I have put off for a long time, but do plan to read it this year...it's sitting on my more "immediate" reads shelf, LOL.

  5. Used book stores are dangerous and wonderful. I would have to recommend Frederik Backman. I have read 3 or 4 of his books now, and I love them all.

    1. Thanks, Kami. I will eventually read it, plus Anxious People, as that is one my book club plans to do.

    1. Ashley, I have heard wonderful things about it. I might need to stop taking books for review and just read my bookshelves, sigh. The struggle is real.

  7. I've only read 2 by Backman and he is a very good choice. I hope you get to enjoy so many of these authors soon.

    1. Wendy, I understand and agree...we are limited by ten when we could have easily tripled that, LOL!

  9. I swear if I own a copy of a book I am less likely to rush to read it. Sigh. Good luck getting to these books finally.

  10. My list would be so different if I chose authors I haven't read but I have a physical copy of one of their books, lol. I used to go to a lot of author signings and bought books to be signed even if I hadn't read them. I would say about half of my library is unread. Oops.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy all of these authors/books when you finally read them. Thanks for stopping by my blog.

  12. Oh my gosh I'm terrible at this. Thinking I'll try a new author and never getting to them... or it takes FOREVER.

    1. Greg, our intentions are good...it's the follow through. I am working on the books on my shelves though...I have a goal of 48 this year and I am about halfway there.

  13. That's funny that you own so many books by authors you've never read! But I do that, too, though when my library doesn't have any of their books. It's why my TBR stack is so big! ;D

    1. Lark, I know, some I bought, some were gifted or won...but I guess that's part of the fun of the TBR pile!

  14. This made me laugh! I'm terrible about accumulating physical books and never reading them, too. Once they're on my shelves, I just seem to forget about them. I do enjoy Cooper, though. I've read two of hers so far. I also really liked ANXIOUS PEOPLE by Backman. When I was cleaning off my shelves the other day, I was shocked to discover I had a copy of A MAN CALLED OVE! Who knew? LOL.

    Happy TTT!

    1. Hey Susan, it's a problem, right? I think I need to dedicate a month to just the books I own, no library, no ARC's...just my books...think anyone else would do it with me, LOL? Maybe we will both get to Ove this year!

  18. Someone I follow on Instagram loves Erynn Mangum's books (I haven't ever read hers) and I really (really) enjoy Becky's books. They tend to be deeper but still have happy vibes. :) Thanks so much for visiting Finding Wonderland on this week.
