Happy Tuesday, my bookish friends!! I hope you all are doing well. Today's Top Ten Tuesday topic is top ten authors I want to read. There are MANY authors that I keep saying I am going to read but haven't gotten around to yet. I will try to limit the list to ten. 😂 Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl and you can head over there to see what our other bookish friends are up to today.
Top Ten authors I haven't gotten around to yet AND I own a PHYSICAL copy of:
Erynn Mangum (I own 6 of her books!)
Fredrik Backman
Joanne Bischof
Becky Wade (I own this one and one on Kindle)
Roseanna M. White (I own 2 of hers)
Susan Sleeman
Tea Cooper (I own 3 of hers)
Michelle Griep
Okay, I have lost my mind. I need to stop going to used bookstores! I can't believe how many books I own from some of these authors, NEVER having read one book by them. In my defense though, I do think I am going to enjoy most of these authors and my library does not carry books by them. Just another reminder I need to be working on my physical bookshelves.
Have you read any of these? Which author should I try first?
What did you do for this week? I would love for you to share in the comments. To see what other topics our bookish friends are doing this week click on the image below.
Hope you enjoy the books when you get to them. I also want to try Erynn Mangum. have read a few of these authors on your list and have enjoyed their books.

Thanks, Sarita.
DeleteI am sure they will all be lovely books. I don't have a single copy of my list on my TBR pile. Of yours, I have read "A Man Called Ove". I'm sure you'll enjoy it.
ReplyDeleteI chose Nobel Prize winners for my TTT this week.
A Man Called Ove is one I have put off for a long time, but do plan to read it this year...it's sitting on my more "immediate" reads shelf, LOL.
DeleteHeehee, I have one of those. Mind you, life always interferes ... ehm ... other books. LOL
DeleteRight?! LOL!
DeleteYou have lots of greats books on your list. You MUST read Dogwood!
ReplyDeleteBeckie, I plan to this year, I am using it for one of my challenges. I have read good things about Chris Fabry but haven't read him yet.
DeleteI’ve heard wonderful things about A Man Called Ove.
ReplyDeleteMy post: https://lydiaschoch.com/top-ten-tuesday-authors-i-havent-read-but-want-to/
Lydia, so have I...hopefully soonish ;)
DeleteUsed book stores are dangerous and wonderful. I would have to recommend Frederik Backman. I have read 3 or 4 of his books now, and I love them all.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Kami. I will eventually read it, plus Anxious People, as that is one my book club plans to do.
DeleteYou've got some fantastic authors on your list. I hope you enjoy them when you do get to read them. (Lady and the Lionheart by Joanne Bischof is one of my all-time favorites.) :)
ReplyDeleteAshley, I have heard wonderful things about it. I might need to stop taking books for review and just read my bookshelves, sigh. The struggle is real.
DeleteI've only read 2 by Backman and he is a very good choice. I hope you get to enjoy so many of these authors soon.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Mia, I am sure I will :)
DeleteI meant to add Fredrik Backman to my list as well! I knew that once I read all these top 10 posts today I would want to add many more authors!
ReplyDeleteWendy, I understand and agree...we are limited by ten when we could have easily tripled that, LOL!
DeleteI swear if I own a copy of a book I am less likely to rush to read it. Sigh. Good luck getting to these books finally.
ReplyDeleteAnne, I know, I am sooooo excited when I buy it...I think I need to (gasp), just stop buying books!
DeleteMy list would be so different if I chose authors I haven't read but I have a physical copy of one of their books, lol. I used to go to a lot of author signings and bought books to be signed even if I hadn't read them. I would say about half of my library is unread. Oops.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, I hope you enjoy all of these authors/books when you finally read them. Thanks for stopping by my blog.
Jenni, I do plan to read these books, hopefully this year!
DeleteI haven't read Ove yet, but I love Backman's writing. I hope you get to it soon.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Deanna. I am going to try!
DeleteOh my gosh I'm terrible at this. Thinking I'll try a new author and never getting to them... or it takes FOREVER.
ReplyDeleteGreg, our intentions are good...it's the follow through. I am working on the books on my shelves though...I have a goal of 48 this year and I am about halfway there.
DeleteThat's funny that you own so many books by authors you've never read! But I do that, too, though when my library doesn't have any of their books. It's why my TBR stack is so big! ;D
ReplyDeleteLark, I know, some I bought, some were gifted or won...but I guess that's part of the fun of the TBR pile!
DeleteThis made me laugh! I'm terrible about accumulating physical books and never reading them, too. Once they're on my shelves, I just seem to forget about them. I do enjoy Cooper, though. I've read two of hers so far. I also really liked ANXIOUS PEOPLE by Backman. When I was cleaning off my shelves the other day, I was shocked to discover I had a copy of A MAN CALLED OVE! Who knew? LOL.
ReplyDeleteHappy TTT!
Hey Susan, it's a problem, right? I think I need to dedicate a month to just the books I own, no library, no ARC's...just my books...think anyone else would do it with me, LOL? Maybe we will both get to Ove this year!
DeleteOhhh, some of these are authors I really love! Roseanna White, Becky Wade, and Siri Mitchell's historicals in particular. :-)
ReplyDeleteErin, I KNOW I am missing out by not having read them yet...but soon! I think I am going to have to plan a time to read my own books!
DeleteI hadn't head of either before but The Girl in the Painting and Lost in Darkness both look like stories I might enjoy.
ReplyDeleteHope you enjoy all these when you get around to them :)
Thank you!
DeleteHope you'll enjoy all of these! I haven't read any of them yet, but I have heard great things about Fredrik Backman.
ReplyDeleteLindsey, same.
DeleteSomeone I follow on Instagram loves Erynn Mangum's books (I haven't ever read hers) and I really (really) enjoy Becky's books. They tend to be deeper but still have happy vibes. :) Thanks so much for visiting Finding Wonderland on this week.
ReplyDeleteI am sure I will enjoy Erynn and Becky's books, it's just making time to read them...I am trying to set aside a month or two this summer to catch up on my OWN books ;)
