Stacking the Shelves #49, Sunday Post #46, Sunday Salon #40

Well, it's been a few weeks since I said I was Taking a small break. Things have taken quite a bit of time and we are still not done. It will be weeks before everything is settled and I am trying to be okay with that 😂 I will try to visit your blogs over the next few days, I have MISSED you all, but still feeling a little overwhelmed. Today we are painting mine and my husband's bedroom.

Stacking The Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks! And audiobooks. The Stacking the Shelves meme is hosted at Reading Reality.

NetGalley: None.

Library: None.

Kindle Freebies: None.

Other updates:

I added 11 books to my Goodreads shelf over the last few weeks.

I finished 5 books over the last 2 weeks. I still need to write the reviews for two of them, hopefully soon.

Another family update: Happy Thanksgiving/Update

What you might have missed on the blog:

Book Review: The Courtship Basket

Book Review: Sundown

Book Review: Falling For You

I am also linking up with the Sunday Post. The Sunday Post is a blog news meme hosted at Caffeinated Reviewer. I will also be joining Deb at Readerbuzz for the Sunday Salon.

What books have you added to your physical or virtual bookshelves? I would love to hear from you. Click on the icons below to join in on the fun. Have a great weekend!

  1. I like the look of your rom com.

  2. It has been 38 years since I've moved, and the only moving I plan to do will be done by someone else---lifting my body onto a gurney and carting it to the morgue! So much work...but I'm sure you are having fun making the space your own and making new friends.

That Pepper Basham book looks compelling. I'm trying to look away...it is my Nonfiction November.

    1. Deb, I hate the process of moving and this one has been harder than others, it had been almost 7 years since our last move. I would love to say this is our last move but I am pretty sure I don't want 3 floors in my retirement house! The Pepper Basham book is fabulous, put it on your radar for after nonfiction November and the Cybil reading....

  3. Ah moving.....we moved into our current house about 3 years ago and swore we'd never do it again! It's SO much work. But, keep chipping away.....you'll be settled soon. :) In the meantime I wandered over to your challenge page and got inspired to join several for next year. I love a good challenge!

    1. Yes, moving is a huge chore and this one has been harder and more time consuming than others. I overdid my commit for challenges this year so plan to scale WAAAAAY down for next year, although I do love challenges ;) Have a great weekend!

    2. I did that this year! Last year I had so many and they got away from me, so I only did a TBR one for this year and didn't even finish it! :) Still, I'm ready to do more again. Think I just needed a break.

  5. Moving is so stressful. And it always seems to take longer than it was supposed to. Good luck with all of it! :D

  7. Moving is so stressful and I can’t even imagine moving again after 31 years in my home. Enjoy all your new books and have a nice weekend.

  8. Moving was always more work that I thought it would be. I've moved so many times as an adult and it's always a bit stressful. I hope you get your home sorted soon!
Nice haul, Cindy. I read Coming Home and enjoyed it. I didn't mind reading Authentically, Izzy on the kindle, but I do think it's probably better in print.

    1. Thanks Wendy. Yeah, one reviewer said it was awful and I didn't want that experience.

  12. I have watched many romcom movies, but I've never read a romcom book. I am on the hunt to read at least one next year. "Weird and best to read as a physical copy" sounds intriguing. Lol. :-)

  13. Moving is so hard!! But making your rooms the way you want them is very fun. :) I always struggle to comment under regular circumstances, so when there is something else going on, it is even harder!

  14. I'm glad you are getting settled and hope you found your local library. I tend to only do challenges that fit my goals and aren't too heavy on reporting.

    1. Anne, yes, I think "no" reporting would be better since that is the part I struggle to remember, LOL. I have not gone to the library yet but I do know where it is!
