Top Ten Tuesday-Let's go hiking!

Happy Tuesday, my bookish friends!! I hope you all are doing well. Today's Top Ten Tuesday topic is a Halloween Freebie. Saturday I went hiking with my husband and yesterday (Monday) I went hiking with my son. I thought it would be fun to do a post on books that have hiking in them. The problem is my memory! I know I read two books recently that had hiking in it and I only remember one of them. I also know there was one book in one of my favorite series, but of course I can't remember which book, LOL! So, what you are actually going to get are books that either have hiking in them, or are set in National parks so might have hiking in them 😂Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl and you can head over there to see what our other bookish friends are up to today.

Top Ten books that might encourage you to go hiking:

  4. Hiking in the fall is an amazing experience. Nothing quite seeing the colorful leaves up close and personal.

  5. Love hiking! And what a fun theme for this week's TTT. :D And that trail you went on looks so cool. I'd love to hike it. The Other Side of Lost is a fun YA novel about a girl hiking the John Muir trail that I really liked, and I also enjoyed Katherine Center's novel Happiness for Beginners.

  6. Becca's book looks SO fun. Still need to read that one. I read a National Parks series YEARS ago, but cannot remember the author. (Annalisa or Anna-something I think!) They were cute as I remember. :) Thanks so much for visiting my list today.

  13. Your hiking pics are beautiful. It looks like everyone had a good time. I think set in National Parks totally counts. You can only sit around a tent for so long. Standoff has the kind of cover that makes me want to read the book.

    1. Carla, you can't go wrong with a Patricia Bradley book! Standoff is great!

  14. Now you have inspired me to think about books I've read with a hike in them. There's the Bill Bryson hike on the Appalachian Trail, and the Cheryl Strayed book Wild. Both of those are nonfiction. I think I remember a book by Katherine Center called Happiness for Beginners with a hike in it.
