Top Ten Tuesday-Recap of Anticipated releases early in 2025

Happy Tuesday my bookish friends!! I hope you all are doing well. Today's Top Ten Tuesday topic is: Freebie/Throwback (Come up with a topic you’d like to do or go back and do an old topic you missed or just want to do again!) With us doing our most anticipated releases for the last half of the year last week, quite a few of you revisted your 1st half list and said how you did. So, this week, I am looking back at what I anticipated from the first half of the year and seeing how many of them I read. Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl and you can head over there to see what our other bookish friends are up to today.

Top Ten Tuesday-Did I read all of my anticipated reads from the first half of the year? Spoiler alert-no. But, you can click on the cover to see my review of the ones I did read, if you are interested.

First Love, Second Draft by Becca Kinzer -Read it, it was a 5-star read

The Atlas of Untold Stories by Sara Brunsvold-this one was another 5-star read for me. It is getting mixed reviews, but it is really well written, but more of a family drama, which I think wasn't expected.

Tempest at Annabel's Lighthouse by Jaime Jo Wright-not read (yet), but I won it in a giveaway, so I now own it. It is on my summer TBR.
The Curious Inheritance of Blakely House by Joanna Davidson Politano-have not read it.
An Overdue Match by Sarah Monzon-yet another 5-star read. I absolutely loved this book and hope to own a copy someday!
Small Town Harmony by Milla Holt-another fantastic story. I gave this one 4-stars and wrote a long review on it.
Storm Warning by Elizabeth Goddard-yet another 5-star read for me. It was fantastic and the suspense was top notch.
Written in Secret by Crystal Caudill-Have not read. I don't know if my library has a copy or not, I kind of forgot about it 😬

Love in the Stacks by Julie Milo-I have not read her before so I kind of forgot about this one as well. I do still want to read it, but probably not this summer.

So, I read 5/9, not bad. I would have read more of them had I remembered they were on this list, LOL! I do not normally give a lot of five stars, but they were anticipated reads, and lived up to my expectations. Have you read many of your anticipated reads from earlier this year?

Have you read any of these? What topic did you go with this week? I would love for you to share in the comments. To see what other topics our bookish friends are doing this week click on the image below.

  3. You've read more than half, that's darn good. Even better is how many of those ended up being 5-star reads. :D

  8. The only book from this list I've read is the first one. I found it to be an okay read.
