Happy Tuesday my bookish friends!! I hope you all are doing well. Today's Top Ten Tuesday topic is: Villains (favorite, best, worst, lovable, creepiest, most evil, etc.). I'm sorry, but I don't read a lot of books with true villains, and the suspense with bad guys, I just don't remember enough details to do a list. So I am going to go a different route, going with books that have Silence in the cover-and they MIGHT have villains. Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl and you can head over there to see what our other bookish friends are up to today.
Top Ten Tuesday-When All You Want is Silence

Silence in the Dark by Patricia Bradley

Shattered Silence by Marta Perry

Dead Silence by Susan Sleeman

Relative Silence by Carrie Stuart Parks

Dead Silence by Robin Caroll

Beneath His Silence by Hannah Linder
These books might not be the kind of silence you want 😂 But today, it's what I have to give, LOL! All of these are on my TBR, but I haven't read them yet. What books would you add to my list?Have you read any of these? I would love for you to share in the comments. Beneath His Silence is good!!
ReplyDeleteMichelle, good to know :)
DeleteSue Grafton used S in her ABC series for Silence.
ReplyDeleteDeb, I probably read it, I used to read her books and read most of them, LOL!
DeleteGood twist!

Thanks Rosie!
DeleteI like seeing how many different books contain the same word in their titles. Fun.
ReplyDeleteLydia, so do I :)
DeleteI love how there's so many books with silence in the title :)
ReplyDeleteLindsey, right? And this is just a SMALL sampling!
DeleteI love the way you tweaked the topic. This is a great list. I haven't read any of them, but each one looks so good. More to add to my TBR.
ReplyDeleteThanks Yvonne! I hope you enjoy the ones you do decide to read.
Deleteoh i love the Silence theme! One of my faves (besides the ones you've included - love them all) is Song of Silence by Cynthia Ruchti... no villains in that one but it's such a great book.
ReplyDeleteCarrie, I LOVED Song of Silence, but you are right, no villains, love Cynthia's books!
DeleteSome of these are so familiar to me! I've read a few of the authors, and read Dani Pettrey's which in turn reminds me to read her more recent releases! :)
ReplyDeleteRissi, I am SO far behind on Dani's books!
DeleteAn interesting collection of books! And I love your twist on this week's theme.

Thanks Pam!
DeleteNice twist, Cindy! I haven't read any of these, but looks like I will be adding to my wish list. Thanks for sharing and for visiting my blog.
ReplyDeleteCheryl, I love to hear it!!
DeleteFun twist on this week's TTT. I don't really have favorite villains, so I didn't do this one at all. And who knew there were so many books with Silence in the title?
ReplyDeleteLark, LOL, this is just a small sampling!
DeleteInteresting how one word it used in so many titles.
ReplyDeleteAnne, I agree!
DeleteI would say the Carrie Stuart Parks and Dani Petry have some villains. I started a Carrie Stuart Parks and never finished it but I can not remember why! I think maybe it was just too dark for my life at the time but I remember what I did read being very well written!
ReplyDeleteLisa, I have enjoyed all that I have read by Carrie and Dani (although I haven't read as many of Dani's).
DeleteOh this is so cool! I'm trying to think of a Silence title but it's after 10 pm and my brain is closing down for the night, Cindy.
ReplyDeleteLinda, LOL! That's what Goodreads is good for!
DeleteWhat a great topic for a TTT! Some of these look really good!
ReplyDeleteThanks Haze!
DeleteNice topic! There do seem to be a lot of mystery/thriller books with "silence" or "silent" in them. I haven't read any of these, although I have a copy of RELATIVE SILENCE on my shelf. I'll get to it eventually, LOL.
ReplyDeleteHappy TTT (on a Wednesday)!
Susan, neither have I, but I will also get to these eventually :) I tend to read more suspense during the fall/winter months.
DeleteI need to come up with some alternate prompts for myself for weeks when I don't want to do the main theme, hehe. I struggled with "villains". Good list!
ReplyDeleteThanks Nicky!
