Stacking the Shelves #217 Sunday Post #214 Sunday Salon #208

Hey, my bookish friends!!  How are you all doing? I am doing okay. It was another long week with multiple appointments. Wednesday morning I had an appointment with the neurologist to discuss the results of my table tilt test. Despite me calling Tuesday and being told she had my results, she did not, which wasted 3 hours of mine and my husband's day. She said she would message me as soon as the results came in, but didn't. My results were there Wednesday afternoon and I am
still anxiously awaiting her to interrupt them for me. This Sunday is my birthday, so my daughter is here for the day. We are planning some family games and just hanging out, ordering dinner in. My boss gave me cash for my birthday and I spent a little time at Bath and Body Works yesterday, splurging! I will post a picture below of the candle I bought. If the weather cooperates (and the smoke from Canada clears) we will be out walking/hiking today and tomorrow morning.

Stacking The Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your  shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks! And audiobooks. The Stacking the Shelves meme is hosted at Reading Reality.

Other updates:

I took back half of the books I got from the library last week unread. When I realized one was an amnesia trope I was done. I have already read two recently and would like a break, LOL! Two were just too heavy with everything I have going on and two heavier books this week (one still in progress). I *think* I might get books from my family this weekend, if so, I will let you know in my post next week, LOL! I finished four books this week and all the reviews are up. Here is the picture of the candle I bought yesterday.

My other blog recently if you are interested Encounters with the Davis Family

What books have you added to your physical or virtual bookshelves? I would love to hear from you. Click on the icons below to join in on the fun. Have a great weekend!

  1. Oh, I sympathize about the neurologist. My husband had to see one fairly recently and we went back for the results. After waiting over an hour he got up and said he was leaving and they could us with results AND he wanted his copay refunded. That was awesome to hear as i was waiting in the room when he stepped out, lol.

Happy belated birthday and I am glad you had some fun. Great candle.

  4. So frustrating! A patient’s time is just as valuable as the doctor’s. Happy Birthday! Your candle is lovely. I hope you get some great books!

  5. Getting medical help can be SO frustrating. We do not do good healthcare here. But I hope you are able to enjoy your weekend. And have a very Happy Birthday! :D

  7. I hope that you have a lovely birthday.

Appointments are a pain. There are just so many people that things get lost and the service isn't as it should be.

    Have a lovely weekend!
