It's Monday! What are you reading? #7

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? is a place to meet up and share what you have been, and are planning to read over the week. It’s a great post to organize yourself. It’s an opportunity to visit and comment and add to your TBR pile! This meme started on J Kaye’s blog and then was hosted by Sheila from Book Journey. Sheila then passed it on to Kathryn at The Book Date.

Sunday Spotlight #6-A Jar Full of Light

Happy Sunday, friends! A few weeks ago I started doing a "Sunday Spotlight" where I highlight a book/author that deserves more love!  I take a book that I have read and enjoyed that has less than 100 reviews on Goodreads and give it some extra love by drawing it to your attention! Maybe someday I will host a link party (if I can figure it out) to make it easier to participate.

Title: A Jar Full of Light

Series: Aveline #2

Please Don't Tell Cooper That Jack is a Rabbit

Title: Please Don't Tell Cooper That Jack is a Rabbit

Series: Cooper the Dog #2

Author: Michelle Lander Feinberg

Publisher: SDP Publishing

Genre: Children's fiction

Source: Reedsy Discovery

My Review:

Please Don’t Tell Cooper That Jack is a Rabbit is written by Michelle Lander Feinberg and illustrated by Anna Mosca. This is the second book that this dynamic team has produced. I love that the illustrator remained the same, keeping continuity between the stories.

Songs in the Storm

Title: Songs in the Storm

Series: Wind River Chronicles #2

Author: Kathy Geary Anderson

Publisher: Purple Autumn Press

Genre: Historical Fiction, Romance, Christian Fiction

My Review:

While this is the second book in the Wind River Chronicles series it can be read as a stand-alone novel. However, a few scenes will make more sense if you have read the first book.

I love the cover of The First Songs of Christmas. It is what drew me to this book.  I have never read anything by Nancy Wolgemuth but enjoyed her writing style in this book.

To join in the fun grab the book you are reading and leave a comment with the first line (or your link).  This week I am reading Songs in the Storm by Kathy Geary Anderson. This is the second book in the Wind River Chronicles series. I really enjoyed the first book and hope this one will be just as good.

A Picture of Hope

 Title: A Picture of Hope

Series: Heroines of WWII

Author: Liz Tolsma

Publisher: Barbour Publishing

Genre: Historical Fiction, Christian Fiction, Suspense,

Source: Net Galley

My Review:

This is my first time reading a book by Liz Tolsma and I look forward to reading her other works. While A Picture of Hope is part of the Heroines of WWII series it is designed to be read alone. The books in the series can be read in any order.
