H
appy Tuesday, friends! The theme for today's top ten Tuesday is if you like this then I recommend that.
This was another hard one for me to wrap my head around, I just don't have the mental capacity for it. So, I decided to do a twist on it. So far this year I have read 132 new to me authors! I can barely wrap my head around that amount, but I was working on a reading challenge and it introduced me to new authors. So, I am going to try to narrow that down to the top 10 that I loved and can't wait to read more from/catch up on their backlist. Hopefully this will introduce you to a new author as well. To find out what
our

bookish frJo are doing for Top
Ten Tuesday

So here are the 10ish books I have and I apologize in advance if you have already seen all these from me!!
The funny thing about this list is that if you asked me my favorite genres I would say mystery and suspense, romance, and more recently romantic comedies. This year has taught me that I do enjoy historical fiction way more than I ever have before and I have always loved contemporary stories, but didn't realize they were contemporary, if that makes sense?
What did you do for this week? Have you read any of
these books? To see

Wow...132 new-to-you authors this year? That's amazing! :D
ReplyDeleteLark, I was surprised by the number as well, but I knew it was a lot!! I have read 222 books this year and for that many to be new, that's insane!!
DeleteThat's a lot of new authors! There's something special though about discovering an author who just blows you away with their book (and better if they have a nice backlog as well ha ha).
ReplyDeleteGreg, yes, exactly!! Thanks for stopping by!
DeleteThat's A LOT of new authors. Wowee! I also discovered Green this year and really enjoyed VEILED IN SMOKE and SHADOWS OF THE WHITE CITY. I'm excited to see what happens next in the third book.
ReplyDeleteHappy TTT!
I have not had time to read Shadows of the White City yet, but it is on my list! I hope to do more catching up next year and maybe not as many new release reviews, we'll see.
