Stacking the Shelves #199 Sunday Post #196 Sunday Salon #190

Hey, my bookish friends!!  How are you all doing? This week was better than last week, but still busy. I had several appointments, my bloodwork was better this week, and now I am fixated on the weather!! Anybody else?! My main concern was that we would get the ice and lose power, but we don't seem to be in the path. We are supposed to get anywhere from 6-12 11-15 inches of snow and it is bitterly cold! I hope no matter where you are, that you don't lose power, and you are able to stay safe and warm. Have a great weekend!

Stacking The Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your  shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks! And audiobooks. The Stacking the Shelves meme is hosted at Reading Reality.

  1. Glad to hear this week was better! I was wondering how you were doing.

Oof at the temperatures... keep warm!

  2. I'm worried about my son who lives way out in the country and who is right in the path of all the cold. There are no alternatives to electric heat there, and it can take a long time to get the power restored.

I'm glad you are doing better this week, Cindy.

  5. Random question…do you know if any blogs are still hosting Sample Saturday? I can’t seem to find one. Not that I can’t just do it but I wondered? Just asking the blog universe as you are always up on the latest:)

    1. Shellie, I have never heard of Sample Saturday, but I have only been blogging about 5 years. Maybe someone who has been around longer would know. I know First Line Friday is still alive and active.

  7. I'm glad your bloodwork was better! My parents are in Texas and said they lost power all day today. We've just had really cold temperatures and some snow. It's been awhile since I've been in the negatives, but the snow hasn't been too bad yet. I hope you're staying warm and safe!

    1. Lindsi, the weather is weird for sure, you know it is when Texas gets snow. I hate that they lost power, will be praying it is restored soon. My plan is to stay in until at least Tuesday.

  9. The snowstorm hit where I live last night, and we already have 4-5 inches of snow out there! I think we're supposed to get some ice later in the day, so I'm a little worried that we might lose power, but I did my best to prepare. I'm glad to hear your bloodwork was better!

    1. Karis, I hope you all do not lose power. The majority of our snow is supposed to hit this afternoon, but I think we have close to a foot out there already. Stay warm and safe!

  11. So grateful with you for better bloodwork, friend. May this cozy weekend indoors strengthen your body and encourage your soul. And yes, please, to more good reads.

  12. Glad that you have had a better week. We keep getting threatened with snow, but we haven't had any yet. Literally the only place in the whole of the UK 😂 still I don't want it on the school run.

    Have a great week!

  13. I hope you don't lose power and the weather is kind to you. I hate snow and thankfully live in a part of the world where we don't get much. Have a great week:)).

    1. I really don't mind the snow, as long as I don't have to drive in it.

  14. Glad you had a better week. My main concern is also the ice and potential power outages. We are getting a lot of sleet right now, which is better than freezing rain. And like your area, we are also very cold. It's supposed to stay below freezing for a while after the storm has passed. Wishing you a warm and cozy week! :)

  15. I hope you don't have any power outages and can stay warm and safe. Hope you have a great week!

  18. Yay for better bloodwork and a good week. I braved the cold and snow here today to go get steak for dinner :) We were going to go out, but hubs never made the reservation, so I decided to stay inside!

    1. Becki, I had no desire to go out in this mess. I don't have all wheel drive and while the plows are out working, our roads are a mess.

  19. You had a busy blogging week. Is the weather bad where you are? Ohio, right?

  23. Glad you didn't get the ice. We ended up with 17 inches or so of snow. Still have flurries. When is spring coming? LOL! Enjoy your week, Cindy!

    1. Lisa, we got right under that. I think the big storm for this weekend is mostly the coast (NC, SC), not sure where you live. But, I don't think it's going to affect us here in OH.
