TTT-2025 New-to-me fiction authors

Happy Tuesday my bookish friends!! I hope you all are doing well. Today's Top Ten Tuesday topic isBookish Discoveries I Made in 2025 (New-to-you authors you discovered, new genres you learned you like, new bookish resources you found, friends you made, local bookshops you found, a book club you joined, etc.) I am going to go with new-to-me authors I read in 2025. I 53 new-to-me authors, which is lower than previous years (146 in 2021; 55 in 2022; 57 in 2023; and 77 in 2024) It looks like 2026 needs to be a stellar year 😂 Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl and you can head over there to see what our other bookish friends are up to today.

Top Ten Tuesday-The top new-to-me fiction authors from 2025

2025 was a rough year and 2026 has had a hard start as well (I have lost 3 friends, the most recent one passed Sunday morning, plus my hospital visit, etc), so it's not surprising that most of these are romcoms.
Pictured:
  • Save the Date by Jenny B. Jones
  • Turtles in the Road by Rhonda Rhea
  • The Unselected Journals of Emma M. Lion by Beth Brower-I read all 8 of the books, #9 comes out sometime this year (not romcom, historical fiction, but does have a lot of humor in them)
  • How Not to Fall for the Guy Next Door by Meg Easton-I read the entire series, it was super cute
  • Southern Snow by B.R. Goodwin (I have been meaning to try her books for a while, now I need to make time to read more of them!)
  • Single All the Way by Kate Watson (I now want to read everything she has written)
  • Bram Baxter Marries the Wrong Sister by Latisha Sexton (I read several of hers and can't wait to get to more!)
  • The Gratitude Guarantee by Jordan Millsaps (One of my top favorites from the year)
  • The Hunted Heir by Jayna Breigh (a legal drama, not my normal read, but good, it was her debut novel, her second just came out this month)
  • Mistle and Malice by Lori DeJong
