First Line Friday #38-A Time To Love
Happy Friday, my bookish friends! Any
plans for the weekend? I was diagnosed with bronchitis yesterday and told to take a long weekend to rest and recover. A perfect excuse to read, blog, and rest for the entire weekend. No complaints here. Welcome
back to
First Line Friday hosted by Carrie
at Reading is My SuperPower!! I am also linking up with Gilion on Rose City Reader
for Book Beginnings. This is where you share the beginning of the book that you are reading. This week I am reading A Time to Love by Barbara Cameron.

The Distance Between Us
Series: Old Town Shops #1
Author: Kasie West
Publisher: Harper Teen
Genre: Young Adult, romance, Contemporary Fiction
Source: Library
My review:
The Distance Between Us was my first novel by Kasie West, but it will not be my last.
Christians in the Age of Outrage
Author: Ed Stetzer
Publisher: Tyndale Momentum
Genre: Christian Nonfiction
Source: Library
My review:
Christians in the Age of Outrage is the second book that I have read by Ed Stetzer. I loved the first one (Spiritual Warfare and Missions), and I loved this one, which tells me I need to read more of his works. I think what "got" me with both books is the relevancy factor. Both books are needed and relevant.

Can't Wait Wednesday-High-Wire Heartbreak
Can't-Wait Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted at Wishful Endings, to spotlight and discuss the books we're excited about that we have yet to read. Typically they are books that have not been released yet. This week I am sharing High-Wire Heartbreak by Anna Schmidt. It is book 6 in the Doors to the Past series, where each book features a dual-timeline period romantic suspense story set against a historic American landmark. They all stand alone and do not need to be read in order. As I was writing this post I realized it published 1.1.22, but since I have not been able to get my hands on it, I can't wait to read it 😉 I have really enjoyed the other books I have read from this series and have high expectations for this one!
